i,m in the middle od designing aswell. i already bought a barrel blank from bits of piecies. could you pm me an info or design of your action. if you want to hold on to them i understand. very cool.

If you haven't already, you should pick up a copy of Bill Holmes' .50 Calibre Rifle Construction Manual, or the video...? The book has a full set of drawings for the action and reciever.. its fairly simple, but a good source for info.

I don't think it can be done... :? ...Chapters is far too PC to sell such a book (actually, they don't carry any gun books, or magazines :evil: ), however Amazon has it, and I've had good experiences with them and purchasing online...

Other than that, I would recommend getting a hold of Paladin Press (the publishers of the book) and seeing if they will let you order over the phone.

Storm do you need to borrow a 1/16 " number and letter stamp set for the big boy registration or do plan on custom engraving. By the way very nice, I wish I had the time and money to tart a 50 project.

I Have a plan in PDF format on how tu built a .50 bolt action, seem o be a scan of a original, all the spec are include if some whant it, PM me you e-mail adress.
