Jeezus! I remember when wholesale sports in Kamloops was blowing them out for something like 875$ close to ten years back.
Should have bought all they had along with 50,000 primers @ 35$ per K

Crazy eh, at least new stock is showing up. Reliable has another 5 16” laminate’s listed now as well, $1900. I was kicking myself for not buying a LH one back when they were in the $1000 range.
 
Anyone know we’re I can get the XS rail in Canada? Would like to run an LPVO on as low as possible QD rings and have the peep sight stay on the gun. What scope and ring combo are you guys using with the xs rail? Thanks :cheers:

Can’t help with where to get one but I’m running a 2-7x32 with high QD weaver grand slam rings, the front bell on the scope almost touches the xs sight rail. If you were using something smaller I’m guessing med rings would work but the ocular bell might get in the way of the bolt.
 
Just took my GSR in 308 out today to sight in after mounting a Holosun red dot sight. Two sub MOA groups right off the bat at 100. Love these rifles. Mine is the most consistently accurate shooter I own, with the exception of a heavy barrel 222 I never shoot. I mounted the red dot as I use it for camping etc and figure if I need to sort out a problem at night the scope won’t do me any good. Got a flashlight mount to put in front the the red dot as well.

I think I got my XS via Nechako Outdoors aka Tod bartell here on CGN. But it was some time ago so no guarantee they have one in stock. But it's worth an email/PM.

I use a Vortex PSTII 1-6 LPVO with a center red dot.
 
I have not had a scope mounted on my gunsite in 450BM, I really like the sights but I am thinking I want the option of a scope, any opinions on the Scout rail versus the rear XS rail with ghost ring. I have the front rail and some QR rings, I would have to purchase the rear rail. I like the wings on the existing sight, but I only shot a scout set up on a BLR a few times. If a Scout scope what are the workable options. Is the Vortex Crossfire good enough if not what is? Thanks in advance for some opinions.
 
Really looking for one of these in 18 inch barrel and laminate stock, at a store with financing or layaway available. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Or know when a restock may be likely?

It's not specific to what you're looking into but the rear sight comes off with a single torx screw and I just use Ruger rings to mount my scope. Quick and easy to switch and don't have to mount high to clear rear sight.

Thanks, I had already ordered the XS rail from Brownells, I couldn't find one in Canada, I still have the Ruger rings as well as some QR Leupolds and a 2-7 Elite scope, so I know have a few different options.
 
No i bought a black with laminated, and a stainless/walnut lipseys, just traded the stocks and installed the mag well metal and sold the stainless in the laminated stock, she is a sweet looking shooter for sure, thanks!!!
