The GSG 16 modification thread

Got mine today and noticed that there aren’t any apparent sling attachments...unless I missed it. Was hoping to attach a single point

Magpul rsa on the top rail is what i did. Or if you have the fixed stock. Loop a sling at the back.

About 90% of the way done... just need to source a shorter barrel or come up with a longer shroud solution ;)

That exactly where im going, but without the SD,how come the photo is all blur ?

This might be a stupid question, but is there a way to adapt a stock, or fit a stock , where the release lever is on the bottom (like the MP5), not on the top (like this GSG)? Would using an air soft stock work?
Thanks.

Yes, most of us are using airsoft stocks. These are my 2 airsoft stocks. The fixed required a little but of trimming, where the collapsible was perfect fit. Both are CYMA.

Jinxed it. The rear screw hole of Walmart's handguard starts to develop a crack.

Using tape and epoxy on the inside to slow down the crack for now.

OkayShooter, is the CMYA collapsible all plastic or are the arms made out of metal and the butt pad rubber?

Also, If it's not a pain in the butt..... what's the overall length measurement of the gun with the stock collapsed?

Yes, The arms are metal and the buttpad is rubber.. The OAL is 28.5" From muzzle to buttpad in a straight line, so add like a 1/4" because the buttstock is curving.

Yes the CYMA collapsible fits right on. It is a bit snug and the one arm needs to be clipped by about 3/4” or else it partially obstructs the ejection port when fully closed.

It is sturdier and the arms are made of metal. And the paddle to open close is on the bottom.

I still have the stock stock on because the mag holder is growing on me. I wish it was bit sturdier and was smaller like the original though.

So I still haven't received mine yet, but I'm looking to switch the cocking handle.

could anybody tell me if this one looks like if it would fit ?

How much fitting was required to make that stock fit?

About 5mins with a file. Kinda hard to explain, but it wasn't hard. You'll see when you attempt to put the stock on, where it is hitting the receiver. I greased up the stock, so I could have a easier time pulling off the stock, and putting it on while I was fitting.

I have the same CYMA stock, and mine slipped on... it was tighter than stock but a few firms HK slaps on the buttstock and it was on. After about 10 removals of the butt stock it has since loosened up and goes off and on with zero issues and is nice and tight
