Here is a picture of how the claw mount fits after removing, filling, and blending of the top rail on the upper receiver. The piece that comes with the conversion kit was used to fill the space left when the rail plastic is removed. JB weld was to fill. In the last pic you can see what kind of shimming I was talking about. A friend suggest using a coat hanger. So we cut 4 small pieces about 3/8" and put them behind the mount, to grab the reciever. It works well so far, and seems sturdy. Maybe even less movement than with the factory rail. Will find a better way to shim at some point. But it works for now.I still need a rear sight which I ordered.
Well I haven't blended mine... I just put a rail delete so it should sit higher than yours. Problem I had with the other style, was side to side.. But I'll try the coat hanger method.
