The new Tikka T1X Rimfire

I believe the specs are the same for the Tikka S/A Centerfire and the T1x . I purchased a 20 MOA rail for mine off the E.E and found these after with a 25 MOA.

Burris Extreme Tactical Steel 25 MOA picatinny rail

According to the Tikka website describing the TX1, "The action shares the same bedding surfaces and inlay footprint with the centerfire T3x rifles." w w w.tikka.fi/en-us/rifles/tikka-t1x/t1x

the bottom of the action is the same length, hence the ability to fit into existing stocks, however, the top of the action has been milled back an inch or more to make for a smaller ejection port. I am not sure that the scope base mounting screws are even going to be the same center to center as the centerfire rifles.....time will tell

Pic I took at the Northern Shooting show in the UK. We were looking at how it would fit in the E-Tac3/4 stock with the stubby 16" barrel.
The action is shorter in the top longer in the bottom. I don't know if the rail screw holes are the same as T3, I presume they are.

Something from the states. The dovetails on the T1 is 11mm and the T3 is 16mm( their rumour) so I wonder if the rails system for the T3 will fit on the T1?

So this is from tikka on messenger I also asked if the rail mounting holes are the same as the t3 and rot a thumbs up

Hello, thank you for the message. All the order information should come through your retailer, we only give the details to the company who has placed the order to us. The stock for T1x and T3x are compatible on models with same barrel profile. T1x has the 11mm dovetail rail on top.
With best regards,

It's been well known that any T3/T3x inlet stock will fit on the T1x. The answer you got on the rail mounting was not clear, or at least the way you've written it isn't clear. Will any T3/T3x rail fit on the T1x? Personally I doubt it because the top of the action is much shorter than the T3/T3x action. This is unfortunate because I bought an extra T3 picatinny rail hoping they would be compatible. Maybe it will just be a question of cutting down the length.

On the other hand it might not matter if the rail over stands a bit. Had that on a few other rifles and only shortened the rail if it interfered with the bell of the scope. Especially wine bottle type bells like the S&B Zenith scopes.

The T3 rail will not fit on the T1X. The T1X uses the 11mm dovetail that many airguns use, it's also the nominal size for the CZ455. You can get 1" Burris Signature rings (with the inserts) for 11mm dovetail, or you can get dovetail to weaver/picatinny adapters.

The mount I have is a picattiny rail that screw on from the top it’s a two piece so the dovetail does not matter to me the holes are what matter. As far as the 11mm dovetail there is tones of options out there because of the cz455/452 which is the 11mm dovetail. I own a cz 452 style and have a DIP picatinny rail for it it’s awesome. I spoke with the guys at DIP and they said not to worry they are on it. So I’m sure that will be a great rail for this gun.

Most European rimfire rifles with dovetails, with the exception of a few such as some CZ models and older Brno's, have 11mm dovetails and have had them for a very long time. The DIP rail does a good job but readers should note that Diversified Innovative Products does not ship internationally at this time.
