Can the T97 be setup for lefties???
Can the T97 be setup for lefties???
Can anyone tell me if the newer models being sold are still having mag issues? I have some pmags gen2 and gen3, some metal lar-15 mags, as well as some alberta tactical pistol mags and so curious. Also how would folks that have the ftu and lhg now compare the T97 head to head verus the Tavor?
My 13xx and 14xx serial numbers are the same magwell size. I found a quick grind to the sides of the spine and any mag has worked well. Only one I've had issues with is c products metal beo mag. Lots of wobble, lots of fail to feed.
My lar mags worked good. First batch with no modification. Second batch of mags was tight. Gen2 p mags should work. Gen 3 will be super tight. Apparently atrs mags are also super tight, though I haven't tried them.
I don't have a Tavor, I'd say it's only advantage would be the mag release.
I just took out my new T97 FTU today and put 100 rounds of Remington UMC 55gr FMJ through it. I want to start getting into reloading, and the brass I collected has me a tad worried. There is a small dent on every case about half way down the case. Is this normal? Is it still re-loadable?
Also, I found that there were constant failures to feed with the standard 5/30 metal mag it came with. The C-Products LAR mag was nearly impossible to get out, so I stopped using it. Any advice?
Anyone care to share first hand opinions on this rifles performance and function after a relatively high round count <5000 rounds.
Accuracy, function, wear and tear?
The dent is normal. It can be reloaded still, it's just not ideal.
Dremel the sides of the spine slightly on the right mag. Should work fine after

Success!
If it beats the crap out of brass, whats the point in a catcher?
Mostly so I don't leave 3000 brass cases scattered across crown land
Hey Squid ... it's "when you're stupid" ; not "when your stupid"... Or was that intentional? Irony is fun!
