I’m hoping to be approved for access to the EE. I’m looking for a lower hand guard for my T97 since sadly T97.ca has stopped making them.
I did go the naughty route of filing my mag well out slightly as my LAR mags were terrible to remove, now they slide in and out beautifully. Would really love a larger mag release button though for quick reloads.

Oh damn I never noticed they stopped production. Unfortunate.

This guy finally has a production version of his ambi magazine catch. The design looks great but I'm not sure about the materials. Maybe someone with better knowledge about these materiels can chime in.
They're made of machined Acetal with a zirconia insert for the actual bit that retains the magazine.
Acetal is apparently a tough, rigid polymer that is resistant to solvents, but that's about as much as I can understand.
He's got it priced at about what a Norgon Ambi-Catch costs. What does everyone think? Im probably going to get one just to give it a shot.

If you click on the video title, his email is in the youtube description. I just e-mailed him, send him the money, and the part came in the mail a few days later. It's was about $100 as I recall. It's actually really well made and easy to use. Great upgrade.

I pre-ordered a Gen3 from Bullseye North today. I am very excited to finally get one!
Looks like it uses MLOK instead of keymod. If there's internal differences we won't know until someone gets one!
From the receriver labelling, internals seem to be the same
The gen 2s and 3s have a factory ambi mag release, M4 feed ramps, and stiffer springs, and I think are machined a little nicer. But if you like the carry handle look you can see if this guy has any mag releases in stock. His e-mail is in the description. I have one and it's pretty good.
You can also get a wolf standard AK recoil spring and snip off 4-6 coils if you find the recoil a bit harsher than it should be.
