The TAVOR

This is the first range report I have ever seen without accuracy figures, it went bang, good for you.:p:p:rolleyes:

I agree, first thing I do to my new gun - I shoot it off gun wise at 100m. Regarding Tavor - I do not think we will see sub-MOA accuracy without some work on the gun first. It goes "bang" thats good enough for now.

well greentips, if enough people go behind this, maybe the pressure will be up to have a non m21 version for sale, with only a rail, before, the MARS options wasn't available, until people actually expressed interest, i was interested, until I learned that it is an extra 1000 dollars for it

I'm interested in this gun whatever the sights. For once, we can get a non-restricted bullpup, semi-auto, 10 rds... stop complaining.

So Shazam, how was the trigger ? pull weight/travel length/grittyness/single or double stage/reset/etc...
and is it possible to fondle with it or upgrade it ?

If that's all you want, I would recommend a Mini 14....or just stick to 22 LR;)

I'll host a shoot in Abbotsford (you did say each city), and my club allows drop-ins.

O.K. so how was accuracy? I can understand just banging off rounds at 25 - 50 yards, but how did it hold up at 150? Did you or do you shoot for 'groups' or are you spreadin' the love all over the target?
What ammo were you firing?
Thanks!

Hhhmmm Beltfed, Silverback, and I think along the same lines.....
My question here:
Nice gun, but is it another Mini14 in regards to the accuracy department?

I am not being ignorant, just asking for a concise range report, just like the title of this thread.

If anyone wants to arrange a shoot in Montreal please let me know. I am happy to supply the gun.

Please email me at info@CanadaAmmo.com

Wow ... ok i'll be sending you an email.
I'm a member at CRAFM. No problem for drop-ins, especially you with the Tavor :D

For weekends, I'm free august 26 and the 1st and 2nd weekends of sept.
So a sunday test shoot would be nice, maybe along with a monday evening. The problem with week evenings is that they close at 21h00 because of the summer schedule (instead of 22h). CanAm, you should call them to coordinate this Tavor test shoot; 514-635-4867.

For the guy in a previous post thinking of switching from CTVSP to CRAFM, there's an indoor 50m rifle range... That's the primary reason why i switched clubs.

Please note for those interested in holding a shoot: Our only role will be to supply the gun. We cannot make other arrangements.

We so far have takers in Powell River BC, Toronto, Calgary and , I believe, Winnipeg.

I will get in touch with those wanting to borrow the gun for a test shoot, in the next few days. The gun will be headed to Toronto first.

Let me know if the Tavor is in the same league
as the PE90 Black Special. I wouldn't mind
an accuate gun in the Tavor style.

Bill
