The "What Have You Reloaded Today" thread

30 223 26.3gr CFE 223 55gr Hornady SP
50 223 26.5gr Varget 40gr Zmax
50 22 Hornet 11gr Win 296 40gr Vmax

After a bit of load development and testing i finally got both the 223 loads above to shoot great in a Ruger & CZ, same with the Hornet load, shoots great in a Browning & Ruger. Very happy!

Just finished 50 pcs of 303Brit.S&B case,200Gr NOE cast,12.5 Gr of Hp-38

Seems to be good recipe for No1 MkIII SMLE I recently acquired but I still have to fine tune OAL.

That skinny front sight makes me really appreciate sight picture on MN.With any light on it keeping front sight on target consistently is nearly impossible but I can manage.

.223 IMR4064 test loads; going to have no shortage of various test samples (calibres and powders) ready now for a nice weather day at our outdoor range.

80 rounds of 41.7 gr 4064 with a 175 smk on top, in FGMM brass and GM210M primers. Copied the gold medal match recipe for 175 gr. Should be a good time tomorrow at Gen. Vokes Range.

39 rounds .405 Winchester with IMR 3031 and 300 grain Hornady SP bullets

20 rounds .30-30 Winchester with IMR 3031 and 170 grain Hornady FP bullets

Prepping a batch ot 7x64 brass for my Sako Bavarian. It seems to like lighter bullets than my Brno 21H because of its slower twist barrel and shorter throat. So I'm going to try 140's and 154's instead of the 160 and 175 grain bullets that I currently have on hand.

Loaded some .45 auto for the first time.

10 rounds 5.6 gn Unique
10 rounds 5.7 gn Unique

230 gn campro FCP RN
Win large pistol primers
1.240 C.O.A.L

Loaded on a hornady lock and load single stage press.

Trying to find a IPSC load that just meets PF, so at least 750 FPS

Should be getting my chronograph early next week, then I can head to the range and test it out.

Also waiting for my pistol rotor and pistol metering insert to arrive so that I don't have to weigh out each and every load.

Both of these loads ending up clocking in on average at 737.43 and 736.04, so I will have to increase the load by a bit to hit 750. Luckily everything worked great, had a few primers which I mushroomed when seating since I did know how hard to squeeze and one that was a little mangled since it got stuck in the primer feed in my hornady hand priming tool.

Just finished reloading another new small test batch, this time .40 S&W and again first time reloading.

10 rounds 4.1 gns Power Pistol
10 rounds 4.2 gns Power Pistol

180 gn FCP TC campro
Winchester small pistol primer
Winchester range pick up brass
1.125 C.O.A.L

This is a .40 lite load for IPSC production class with my FNS-40L, hoping for around 750 FPS so 135 PF. Had to guess the gns required as my hornady reloading manual only went down to 850 FPS but it seemed that 50 FPS, was about .6 gns.

These loads were way to light, they clocked in at 592.94 and 613.87 respectively. The first load not cycle my slide at all and the second load would almost cycle the slide. I think I need to increase to 4.4 or 4.5, then I should have reliable cycling and get closer to the velocity I want.

loaded yesterday--

303 Brit., FL sized
150gr. JRN, Norma bullet
39.7gr of H4895

light factory crimp.
The strange thing with these is Lee Mod. Reloading 2nd ed. says this is the low end of the range, they go up to 42.gr., whereas Hornady 9th ed. says my 39.7gr. is at least 1 full grain above the max load. Odd to see such a broad difference between books, but Lee hasn't steered me wrong yet.

loaded on the weekend 250 pcs 223, whole works from cleaning to ready to fire, 24.5 Varget 55grain hollow projectile factory crimped

out of powder again

I ran out of powder once, never again!! I start re-stocking once I hit the 3 pound mark now.

Deprimed and started to tumble 200 308 win cases.

123gr 6.5mm LAP brass and bullets, ~36grs Varget. 139gr with ~41gr H4350.

Used the last of my H4350, the 1# container has the marking Dec, 2012, $22.50. Miss those days.
