Instock vs out of stock, yes I totally understand stuff goes out the door.
Prices shouldn't, yes our dollar goes up and down but I don't see other stores prices going up and down daily.

As noted we use multiple suppliers and often sell out of one and another arrives. Also we buy some in US $ and when we pay the bill we are using the most recently purchased US $'s. We were also promised one price but when it was shipped and invoiced the price changed with the caveat "if you don't want to pay the higher price then refuse it or send it back as lots of other dealers are waiting in line to by it at any price". We also react to local competitors who decide to sell it lower than our regular mark up would allow so depending on the competitor or the volume of product involved we might have to take a lower mark up to remain competitive. As you can see it is way more involved than just buying it and deciding on our mark up ahead of time. Sometimes we have existing inventory on a particular product so we have to blend the prices. sounds like you go to a lot of effort to get 22 ammo for your customers. some experts on here perhaps don `t see it that way.
It's a constant effort mostly by Dianne who is always on the phone or computer trying to find ammo (.22) at the best volume and price. Sometimes that tough attitude that a few folks complain about Dianne works on our distributors(and customer's behalf} in getting the most product at the current best price. We were packed on Friday and Saturday in spite of a local gun show and auction going on. I could hardly keep the .22 shelves filled and currently we have no limit on the volume customers can buy. To be honest most customers are reasonable and only by a few bricks at a time. When I was at a local big box store last week they had zero .22 out for sale. Go figure.
