Training Interest?

You could call it IDPA (Iraqi Defensive Pistol Association) training. Any confusion would be entirely the responsibility of the misinterpretee. Of course we nice folks in Canada probably should treat both (IDPA's) with the same level of concern for the future of the children.

im in all i need to do is send away for my RPAL ill do that first thing in the morning then i can get a AR ( ahh my great memorys from BMQ) and a 1911 .45ACP

Guys I am now working for KAC in Fl.

ITAR's now forbid me training Canadians who are not US perm residents w/o approval from the US Dept of State. DOS has recently hit BW and others training Canadians, and other nationalities without permission.

I just finished the Larry Vickers CQB Instructors class with the Jacksonville Sheriffs Office, great class, and those who can be accredited I highly recommend it.

So, in a nut shell, there will be no training from you in the forseeable future. Does the same apply to Big Red??

No wonder people get pissed at these types of threads. I actuly spent a goodly amount of $'s gearing up for this.

Avery disapointing turn of events to say the least.

Well, unless there is some one to fill this training gap, time to concentrate on service rifle.

regards

AbH

Kevin, good stuff man...congrats. Too bad about the training but there are other opportunities for Canadians...LMS Defense and Tactical Response come to mind.

We (LMS Defense) have run our training through the legal channels, we are good to go here in Canada. ;)

If LMS is a US entity or has Americans on its payroll - you will not be gtg with the DOS unless each and every candidate is pre-cleared - regardless of what the Cdn gov says.

It is possible to get a waiver for training, however it will be 1000x times easeir for LE or MIL.

BigRed and Reaper are more than qualified to run training in Canada.

Kevin, I'm going to look into it more.... I'm guessing that even as LEO's we need a TAA as well?

I was going to go down for more training, as well as send a few guys from the section as well....

Looks like more paperwork and approval.

Congratulations on the new gig Kevin, I'm willing to bet KAC's a great place to work - or do you call it work when you're surrounded by premium quality toys.
