Trudeau and Blair BAN 12 Gauge and 10 Gauge SHOTGUNS!

This has got to be an error?
I just bought a new browning 12Gauge and now its banned???!!!

If it has a bore diameter in excess of 20mm, which a lot of people are showing is very likely on a normal shotgun, it is banned. Not to mention the forcing cone but that is somewhat immaterial right now.

Better start campaigning to get the OIC repealed.

Does anyone really believe these morons in Ottawa are finished yet? They want all citizens on their knees begging for their help and permission to breath. Tell me when a modern day Liberal Government in Canada has not taken away your rights. Please - anyone?

Cabelas is still slinging 12 Ga with removable, they seem to disagree.

The tinfoil hat might be a little tight but... what if they did this on purpose to piss off the fudds. Fudds complain and then the liberals change the wording to keep shotguns off the prohib list. Then they can say they listen to the people and the fudds go back to being indifferent to any bans.

Omg all of you stop. No one is taking the shotguns away. This is a way to get more gun owners involved by fear mongering. We are doing the exact same thing we argue about with antis everyday. Stop the fake news, Jesus Christ.

Where have I heard this before? Oh right the last time the liberals banned guns.

This is great, the chaos this creates amongst all gun owners should unite us to rid ourselves of Liberal stupidity.

You might want to get a roll of tinfoil after you check Elwood Epps etc instead of looking for the slow heifers in the FLGS constellation.

If they have one, get one before somebody else does or they pull them when they get the word via the box store slow train.

We spoke to our local MB CFO and they said that 10 and 12 GA shotguns are still non-restricted if they were previously. They did however state that if the choke was removed and the bore was greater than 20mm the firearm would then be deemed prohibited. Keep your chokes in and you're fine. Still ridiculous.

So, I need to break the law everytime I want to change the choke?

So stick to doubles.

That way you can keep one choke in while you remove the other one to switch them.

Likely they might let you off for only one barrel prohib out of two.

On a single barrel or a double if you take both out at the same time to switch over you are screwed if they pounce.

Those old dial a chokes that are permanent to the barrel should be safe.

Good to know. :)

And remember. Always look over your shoulder before you change chokes!!

Exact quote we got: "So if it sold as a non restricted and someone removes the choke then they have converted it to a prohibited firearm. The example they used was a grenade launcher."

Hahaha. Patently insane. So basically, everytime I remove/change the choke (especially after the 2 year 'amnesty') I'll be in possession of a prohibited firearm for which I am not licensed or authorized to possess. The very definition of bad law.

I honestly wouldn't trust the CFO for any information regarding the OIC. I called to register my AR15 as a receiver only as I sold my upper a few weeks back. They were unaware they (the upper) are also prohib now and didn't believe me. They wont come to defend me in court I can tell you that.
