I wish no harm on any of the RCMP front line officers and I shudder to think of how many of these men and women will be put in harms way following orders to seize privately owned property for literally ZERO gain.
 
I had a rather veiled chat with someone I know working in the PMO last month, he made a passing comment of "not to worry, we aren't going to take all guns away, just AR-15's." At the time I though this was laughable, barley out of the shadow from SNC, and a comment like that, and followed with other comments of how they (the Liberals) were going to destroy Wilson-Raybould. The guy I know is a career Political adviser working both in Canada and the US, and as much as I hate to admit it, decent at his job and usually decent to gauge large scale information from.

After yesterday and some time to reflect, hard to not start to think there may be some weight to Clements question. Sure hope not, but who knows, anyone else starting to see SUPER disturbing trends in our Government?

Letter sent, and includes the words; "Like Bill C-71, the Liberal government hasn't got a REAL plan to combat gun crime Mr. ********, it's an exercise in optics=the cheapest, most meaningless form of governance imaginable. You should all be ashamed of yourselves for C-71, let alone if something as unwarranted as this comes to pass."
 
The OIC itself is not a democratic process. Executive order should not to be used unless there is a war emergency or disaster.

The Liberals own consultation shows the overwhelming majority oppose gun bans. Using the OIC and executive order is anti-democracy, and it is ignorant of the will of the people.

This is a Trump's move, to use executive order when he cannot get the people to agree with him. If Trudeau and his gang despise Trump, why are they using Trump's tactics?

We all need to ask the liberals if they support the Trump's way.

Yes.
The first time was when Canadians elected Big 'Tator's Socialist Regime for a second time back in 1972.
The second time was with Bill C-68 under Cret'ns Socialist Regime.

The third time was when 'Tator Tot - Canada's own Kim Wanna Be - was elected in 2015.

Do not disregard the possible use by the Trudeau Regime of planting the idea with the former Conservative MP AND who is now an "independent" MP due to some questionable activities.
It would and could be a major distraction that would benefit 'Tator Tot and his veggies as they build up their manure for the coming election.

More intel is required beyond commentary in the House.

My opinion is you will see an OIC making presently restricted ARs prohibited. Not all semi-autos. A symbolic move designed to gain votes. Then if conservatives are elected, the order will be rescinded and they will be made restricted again. Swiss Arms anyone? Why would the liberals not do this? The general public hates the idea of an AR-15. Complacent gun owners will say with relief, "at least everything else is safe". If I were a liberal leader I wouldn't see a downside to this approach. They don't need a full ban for the votes they're after. Going after the AR-15 is gesture enough.
 
How worried should we be ? As an avid shooter I've acquired many AKA (assault rifles) over the years, some of them worth small fortunes , Can they really come in our home's and take our personal possessions like that ,without reimbursing us for our loses. I find this to be very disturbing and unfair, as a tax payer , voter, small business owner , abiding citizen, father,and firearm enthusiast, I'm sure I ain't the only one feeling disappointed in our country , and feel really stuck on what to do with my collection.

Well, if it comes to that, we only need to stall on turning our guns over until October. Should be doable without actually breaking the law. Most likely there will be some form of grandfathering while only new sales are banned. In October we either get a conservative government that makes it all go away, or, we are pooched way beyond just losing our guns. If the Liberals get re-elected we need to seriously ask ourselves what the heck we're doing here in a nation of morons. It will be time for a mass emigration to Alberta where we all join the separatist movement.

I'm very sorry to hear about your losses, I'm sure they won't reimburse us for them. Unfortunately I lost all mine too! I KNOW I MUST have put them somewhere!! :) :)
