Two cartridges for hunting Canada

If heaven forbid, a guy can only have 2 guns, then I'd have to go with a 30-06 and a similar rifle in 22 L/R. My '06 shoots 165 grn hornady spire points for deer and federal's high energy loads with180 grn nosler partitions for bigger stuff, without having to change the scope setting. But thats not worth a thing if I cann't hit what I'm shooting at. That's were the 22 comes in. Most days if the week, I fire off 10 rounds, off hand, with my ruger m77 22 bolt action, from my front porch. I've got a couple of swinging metal targets about 40 yards away.
Fortunately, I am not limited to only 2 rifles. The '06 is my deer rifle and I use my 35 whelen for moose and other big stuff.

after reading all of this I may as well reply... lol

For sure for sure the .308 win is one of them.
For the "bigger" cartridge, which I really dont see the use unless you're hunting polar bears or belugas or yeti's or even transformers, I suppose I would use a cannon. Like those great big cannons the pirates used to use. yarrrrrrrr!
