Just wondering where you guys are going to mount these scope bases????

Cuz the safety appears to be in the way of that and even IF you have enough room to mount the base, how will you slide the side mount on and off with the selector there??

Should've bought PK-AS :). How much do you think drill and tap + rail base will be from gunsmith?

Pk-As would work too but I'm curious about the Obzor. No batteries like the Meprolight M21. I'm planning on running an AK side rail. Not exactly sure how I'm going to work it yet as I don't have my rifle to try it yet but I'll be sure to post pics if I can get it to work. Absolute worst case I can use it on my 858 .

a quick rundown,
pros-
lightweight & handy just like AK.
the longer barrel does not add that much extra weight at the front, so it's not front heavy.
the wood is actually nice, lightyears ahead of the beaver bark on the VZ I used to own.
machining of the critical parts are not bad at all, the barrel is very nice.
inserting mag is a breeze, the bolt is smooth when racked by hand, safety is easy to operate not stiff, however, it's a 180-degree throw.

cons-
some cosmetic flaws, scratches on the metal finish, wood to metal fit is very NORINCO, ugly but solid :)
none of above bothers me as this was meant to be a rough use military rifle, but if you are "new gun no scratch" type of guy now you are aware.

P.S, NO Cosmoline, just oil, very happy :)

The gun feels kick ass, a stamped metal commie battle stick! perfect.
