Aren't Norinco M-14s made from old parts?

If that's that's the case then even China can't compete on cost with the China of decades ago.

Chinese GDP per capita in the '80s was less lower than the likes of Afghanistan and North Korea today...

No proof other than hearsay at this point.

I see quality differences in 2007 M305's vs the ones with newer 2014/15 dates. And I don't see why Norinco would have parts left over for this long... don't think they were contracted as a supplier of M14 rifles to another army, so I don't see why they would have such a surplus left over that they can continue sourcing NOS parts even until today.

^^^ yeah unfortunately nothing stays cheap forever.
You guys been to a grocery store lately?!?!?
How about paying the exact price for a brick of cheese yet now they are smaller in size.

There's cost and there's every other excellent gun already in our collections. It's got to be a decent value. That could be measured in finish, or accessories or any other way. People know the bacon pack is smaller. They know when they're being nickle and dimed. So, here we have two magazines when AKs came with three, 58s with four. Sling, bayonet, armourer's kit?

Everything I got came with four mags in a leather pouch. Maybe some dealers mag poached. Doesn't change the fact that a price can be justified in many practical ways. That is, if we stop thinking that everything is heaven-sent.

Or pistols with one mags. I only made the point that having other options (like spare parts and accessories) is a bigger factor than ticket price. What's the plan for a broken firing pin for instance?

As already stated in several other threads from TI that the firearm has 1 year warranty for any parts/non functioning rifles and parts should be for sale after the warranty

I keep coming to check for updates and video, but all I see is complains and arguing about a non existent rifle. Please start a new post with videos!!! I cant keep reading pages of crap, I just want to see this in action!

Maybe a real good stress test? :D

As they haven't been built yet good luck with that. All you will continue to get is what you have railed against. Till they are here on Canadian soil and in owners hands, this is all that we will get.

I'm sure now that the 858's are gone. Sales on these will go up. The "I can't make up my mind" people can wait until next year and hope the Liberals don't slam the door. Then whining will start.

I don't care if they take AK mags, what's so dam great about them anyway? I like the bolt hold open feature it let you know there's no rounds in it. How can that be bad?

Besides if you can afford $29 for a mag you shouldn't be buying a rifle because you can't afford bullets either

That 858 sale was a clown and pony show... their website went down. I was there, nothing would load. Took people an hour to checkout their rifle. Unsure if the 958 is still in the works or not, haven't heard a peep about it since the 858 and Type 81 hype.

People got impatient and kept refreshing, or hitting send again, and all that started them over in the page they were at.

28 minutes from start to finish. Just gave the pages time to load without trying to force them. Still long but what do you expect when 400 people buy 400 rifles in less than 3 hours? Hard for any server to keep up with that. And hard not to expect that was what was going to happen.

If TI did that with their 1000 Type 81, it would be the same.
