Some people think underfolders are extremely uncomfortable, but I used when when I was playing airsoft back in the day and I didnt have an issue with it. I think side folding mechanisms are more sturdy than underfolding too. If I had to choose, Id choose side folding.

Yeah there is a "real sword" brand Type 56-1 and it's sweet! Although try one with a full power 7.62x39, and you might find those metal cheek rests uncomfortable.

So all BS aside when are they getting to Canada? Are they in containers in China on the dock ready to ship?

Trying blasting off several rounds from an underfolder. You'll get a nice cheek bruise.
Other then that it's just ashtetics and preference really.

I know my Vz858 sucks to shoot even with paracord. I will never again get a folding stock. 1 was enough....

Lol guess people miss the point when it says prototype.... im sure once theyre pumping out 1000 theyll step it up a bit this ones a one off

What do you mean it's a prototype.

The fecking thing has been in service for almost 4 decades.

The Type 81 TI is importing is a scratch build. It conforms to the stringent examination and convertibility rules of the RCMP lab.

It is a new rifle. Not a military surplus Type 81 which would be prohibited, as is it select fire.

1000 bucks is a rip compared with the m14 in the 650 range and the m16 varients in the same ballpark. Its not just an sks and has a better trigger and cycle system and is much more accurate then ak47's but come on 1000 bucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The only thing I will agree with is in bold.

Also, how can you compare a mass produced gun, with thousands upon thousands made, compared to a gun which has 500 units of each type being produced? (for now)

If they made 10 million, I'm sure they could get it down to $300 for us... But they are making 500 of each only, to start.

They're just making shelved tooling machines operable again. They're not R&D'ing the gun or developing it past the point of what was available and produced for their gigantic army in the 80's. The gun is stamped and not milled for chrissakes.

There's absolutely no reason the gun should be north of $800. Have it come with all blued parts and a nice accessory kit, then we're talking an alright price.
