I'm glad to see this issue being brought up. I've been interested in prototyping new safety selectors for ease of use, but I haven't got my hands on a rifle yet. If someone has a good set of calipers, and basic knowledge of schematics, I'd be interested in speaking with them about getting some measurements. This would require the safety selector to be removed from the rifle. The other option would be someone locally here in Grande Prairie, AB willing to let me borrow the rifle for a night to record any necessary information. Obviously it would be preferable to be hands on with the rifle to understand its safe tolerances better.
I had designed a new selector in the past for the VZ58 to reduce the swing from 90° to 11°, unfortunately it required additional parts that I was unable to produce more than a small run of. Hopefully if the T81 is more forgiving, I can open up a larger scale for the public.
