Update On Ontario Restricted Transfer Times

I would think so. I’ve got an outgoing P to P 60245xx and don’t expect to get it done for another 2 months at the present rate for P to P transfers.

I was thinking exactly that, and then my 60373xx came through. Talk about surprised! Edit: I just realized you said P to P. Mine was B to P, so it should have been even longer, right?

How funny is that… working quickly and effectively is a mistake with our current government (or any govt as a matter of fact!)
I bet that chipper employee got reprimanded and sent straight to Justin’s naughty boy room.

Lol it’s so true. Every CFO pretty much caught up except for Ontario. CFO should be taken back over by RCMP in Ontario.

Has anyone happened to have asked the CFO why P2P transfers are lagging so far behind? Likely the reason would defy logic

We have yet to see a P2P reported here this year. The last two reported were Dec 30th and both were 32 days later that the B2P transfers. So yes they have fallen yet another week behind the B2P. Mind you a week ago today they were approving lots of P2P transfers but they were all over the board with initiation dates of Jul 7, Jul 19, Jul 22, Aug 24 and Oct 18.

Just arrived B-P, 59836XX Initiated August 4, Arrived 20 minutes ago. Still wafting on P-P's from July 20, and an outbound one from June 13th.

I was talking to Switzer Auctions today. I received some registrations slips for guns that I had not received an approval notice for.

They tell me that often they do not get a copy of the approval notice, so cannot ship. They ask that if you get an approval notice, forward them a copy.

Pretty close to 5 months to get approvals...

Could you imagine if this was a privately run company...

Takes them (almost) 1/160 of your life span to approve something your legally allowed to have...amazing!!! (and depressing!!!)

Imagine the outrage if people's new cars had to sit rusting at dealers and they weren't allowed to take possession of them (let alone use them) for 5 months after paying for them, while the registration was processed. Only gun owners are deliberately treated so poorly (because of minimal funding/staff at the CFO), though our health care system isn't far behind in terms of poor service due to lack of proper funding.
