Update On Ontario Restricted Transfer Times

60087xx B2P approved. Aug 22-Feb 17.

Finally. Crazy to think that back in 2019, I got a restricted approved in under 3 weeks.

Best of luck to everyone in this thread. Hope you receive your purchases soon.

You need to carry it (original or photocopy) with you when transporting your restricted firearms. DO NOT keep it in the same case as your firearm(s) as you would need to present it to a police officer upon request and cannot open your transport case roadside.

It is not possible for me to sort through the registration slips to find the correct ones for the guns going to the range today. And the binder is rather big to carry around.

Thanks to someone here on CGN, I found a very workable solution that would work for everyone. If you log in on the RCMP website, you can go to the REQUEST A ATT. Click on "ALL" and change setting to 100 per page. Then print the pages out (double sided) and staple together. When done, just close the file. Don't submit the request. This printed list proves registration and is much better for the purpose, since the guns are easy to find - in alphabetical order. The listing shows Make, Model, caliber and cert #.

I’m waiting on 60232XX thought it would come in today? A bit surprised. Wait a couple days?

I just had my final transfer approved today for a purchase made on September 2nd. B2P.
It's left me with a bit of an empty feeling inside, knowing that as things stand this will be the last handgun I'll ever buy.

Hi guys, apologies if this has already been answered but this is my first restricted and so not exactly familiar with the drill.

I am expecting my transfer to come through soon.

What exactly do I need to go to store and pick up gun - just the email notification, papers in mail, new RPAL with new conditions?

The regulations are nuts and I’ve worn off fingers to nubs googling for the right answer.

Any help appreciated!!

Go to the store with"

Your RPAL

A copy of the transfer notice approval (but they should already have their copy).

A lockbox with a trigger lock to use to bring home.

Lots of money to buy ammo...

Yes. That piece of paper (transfer) we wait 6 months for is basically a single use ATT. Which translates to. Go to store, pickup, and go straight HOME. Then you wait another 2+ weeks for registration papers before you can go to the range. 😱😱
