Update On Ontario Restricted Transfer Times

I just call the Ontario CFO. As of June 30th, they are processing May 18th transfers. Such a disgrace

whoever told you that over the phone lied.
I had same experience a few months ago. One day agent told me there were process day-x cases, two days later another agent told me the were process day-y case, where y was earlier than x.
so you figure

I just wonder if the Ontario CFO actually reviews the transfers sequentially or if they are "packed" in a bundle and given to the individual employees for processing.

I'm betting on the latter. And it's randomized too. My best friend ordered his pistol well after me. It was delivered to his house on Thursday.

Aren’t we supposed to get the transfer notice from our own provincial CFO? For all my past restricted purchases notices have come from the Ontario CFO. I bought a restricted from Wanstalls on June 17 and got the transfer notice from BC/Yukon CFO on June 25. Am I missing something?

I was wondering this as well. Are our processing times based on the originating province or the destination province? Because my first transfer was from Sask to BC and the BC CFO had my transfer notice in my mailbox in less than two weeks.

My current transfer is from Ontario to BC and I got the reference number for the transfer almost two weeks ago, but I haven't heard anything since, so I'm just curious if it's the Ontario or BC CFO I should be getting annoyed with?

That can't be. Because on Friday, June 24th I received my transfer on a purchase made on May 31st. Unless I got moved to the front of the line for some unknow reason (which I highly doubt), the person you spoke with may have given you the wrong info.

Get annoyed with the CFO in the province you live in.

Jay, I think you broke them, LOL! I called first thing this morning at 9:00am and they wouldn't even put me on hold. There was just a recording of sorry we're too busy and a hang up. I tried three times with the same result. I wonder if they're late and just use this standard recording until they've had their coffee, etc? I'll try again later.

Easy Peasy to file an Ombudsman complaint online... And I doubt I broke them lol, the only thing it might do is grease the squeaky wheel...

I'll be filing my next one on July 11 if memory serves as that will be 30 days after I made my subsequent purchase.

lol, 30 days, you're much more patient than I am. I will be filing next week once two weeks have passed since my purchase.

I did this once before, it will take a 2-3 weeks just for the Ombudsman's office to get back to you before they even bother contacting the CFO.

Transfers are going through, but not in numerical order.

Recieved a notification today via email for a transfer initiated 1 week after another one I'm still waiting on.

And that's exactly the opposite of what I was told directly when I contacted the ON CFO...

They claim to be completing these in the order they are received.

Sigh.
