Update On Ontario Restricted Transfer Times

Not terrible wait times all things considered. Christmas, Boxing Day, New Years, covid, gubment laziness, no doubt tons of time off taken around this time.

Private transfer from Ontario to Ontario. Took literally less than 24 hours.

I know this going to hurt but I just transferred a 1911 to my neighbour. I called it in yesterday at 9:30 am PST, I received notice this morning at 9:00 am PST the transfer was complete and I could give the gun to the buyer. Thank you BC Fire Arms Officer. I have to say the lady who tokk my info yesterday was polite, we shared a laugh at one point. Fastest time ever for me. Notice came by email, a method I would recommend if it is available to you.

Always ask for them to email you, as the buyer, and the seller. Everytime. For whatever reason you have to ask, they don't just send one.

I nust have got lucky because she offered the email option to me. I was not aware of the option previoous to this transfer. Reduces the overall cost to the taxpayer as a bonus. Trudeau gets to p-ss away more of our money on his social engineering.

Initiated on December 17th, 2020.
Completed on January 8th, 2021.

Not Ontario CFO related, but sold a restricted yesterday Ontario to BC. Called RCMP 6:40pm from Ontario, BC guy called pretty much immediately after. Today about 2pm transfer done. So, way less than 24 hours later I can ship the restricted. Nice one CFO BC.

Similar to mine. Ontario dealer started transfer on 05 Jan and email confirming transfer came today on 15 Jan.
