Update On Ontario Restricted Transfer Times

I wonder if there is an issue with their flag system that is meant to trigger a review of frequent fliars.

There have been a few reports over the last few years where a person who buys too many firearms in too short a time gets flagged for a secondary review as part of their measures to detect straw purchasing.

With so many people buying so many firearms within a manner of days or weeks, I wonder if they have had an excessive number of PAL holders get flagged for review.

One of these things is not like the others...

to assist with estimating transfer time please post the first 4-5 digits of completed transfers only (confirmation from CFO). Thanks everyone for trying to navigate the mess that is the Canadian Firearms Program.

I can't even get thought calling. On hold for 40 minutes every time only for them to say something along the lines there is a general problem and they are not accepting calls to call back at a later time

CSAAA said once the massive backlog is cleared up in some of the other provinces then they will assist Ont transfers so fi gers crossed they start to get approved fast

That is a bit of good news. Do you have a link to that announcement bfiles?

Cheers

from what i gather many gun owners have bought multiple firearms in the last 6 weeks. Would it be so hard for them to approve multiples at once? It's as simple as looking up to see if someone has other awaiting transfers in the queue. in my opinion that would probably clear up a good chunk of the backlog.

5968### July 14 from Marstar. Also have one I'm still waiting on from June 3 from Cabela's but they never gave a reference number.

They just took the money off my card from the Cabela's June 3rd buy. They said they wouldn't do that until it's ready to ship so I assume it's shipping shortly.
