Update On Ontario Restricted Transfer Times

For Ontario, is the "transfer notification" act as your ATT or do you still need to get an ATT since Bill C-71 changed the rules.

the transfer allows you to pickup your restricted firearm and transport it directly to your home. After that, you will require the registration certificate in order to bring the firearm to a range. Transporting to a range does not require an ATT. But if you need to take the firearm to a business for repair (example) then you need to request an ATT to transport it there. hope that answers your question.

Slow week for P2P transfers last week. Only 8 transfers approved. They were taking about 168 days from initiation to approval which is only one day longer than the B2P transfers.

A simple way to estimate the approval date of your P2P transfer is just add 168 days to your the initiation date. That of course assumes that the CFO does their approvals at the same rate, the purchase volumes are the same as last week etc.

A more accurate estimate is to use the Ontario Restricted Transfer Chart created by Wolf and maintained by Great Northern. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1zIoOPwS9cTHbG6eAD8_QXgkdaFnx7oKc2hhdN-8IZRg/
They are putting a lot of work into it and it is proving very accurate. As people report their B2P approvals here Great Northern updates the spreadsheet which updates the estimates. So just look up your transfer number on the Ontario Restricted Transfer Chart to find the Estimate "Start" and "End" date for your transfer number. Just add one day to each date because P2P transfers are taking about one day longer. If the P2P seller and buyer were not able to initiate and confirm the transfer on the same date then add days as required.

I know it's already been said many times before, but thanks to you and everyone else working on tracking this data.

Both transfers so far for me have been +/- 2 days of the projected approval date with hopefully my next two coming in at the same accuracy next week.

Yall the real MVPs

P to P 187 days and counting from Aug 5.

Given that numbers are starting to roll in from late Aug, just wondering if anyone has received a transfer from the Aug 26 Kidd Family Auction yet? I asked them for the reference number but they won't give it to me, so just trying to see if anyone else has received anything yet.

I had a 6016### and a 6017### clear over the weekend while I was out at a cabin on a snowmobile/fishing trip. August 22 and 23 purchase dates, B2P, Ontario to Ontario.
