Yes, got it. Some near the end, some near middle. Great info. None of mine match..numerically 9 before.
That response is terrible. We erred so you do the legwork, public service time spent, and they pay the current price. Guess I am done with them

Anyone have any luck on giving in the Ammo, just stopped by Peel Police and they’re saying I’ve gotta give it in and then go to get the records bureau to get the letter. That’s going to take ages…

So, went to a fire station, they said "no we don't take ammo, go to police station". Went to police station, they said "Sure, call us and we'll come pick it up". This is in Toronto. I'm not doing that. Guess I'll take the hit on the $160 and it will fall out of the boat. Never buying any CCI ammo again. Unfortunately same umbrella that owns them also owns federal
 
Had the same issue last summer with my tikka t1. Blew the magazine apart in my hand. No damage other than jittery nerves and a destroyed magazine. Winchester ammo.

The Czechoslovak Group purchased the company (Kinetic Group) for $2.22 billion in December 2024. Along with Federal and Remington, Kinetic also owns Hevi Shot, Speer, and CCI. The Czechoslovak Group also owns Fiocchi ammunition.
 
Like Donny says, Just shoot in a bolt gun. If you can't be bothered for $160, I'll cry a bit. CCI-SV is the most 'consistent' 'mid-priced' ammo I've found and I've got ca 3K still to go.

They maybe reached critical mass. We don't know what has changed with internal management. Have various management members left; same goes for factory workers, QC, QA, are the workers happy? Holdings too big to maintain controll?

Are factories pushing production too hard that corners are getting cut? Demand is high, product is in short supply? Prices increasing, proffit taking president over quality.

Work disruptions during mergers, take overs, we will likely never know.

What i do know is a lot of different ammo, SV included, used to shoot better in my rifles than it does presently. When I compair some old ammo that I have been saving with new ammo just bought, the new never shoots as well.

I think the issues are industry wide, rather than just company wide.
 
There is no official publicized recall. I talked to the CCI sales rep for Canada on the weekend and he said that CCI Quiet is just coming back in stores now and that's the one to buy instead. There are 2-3 versions of Quiet, None take the place of SV.

If you can find any SV in stock (some Canadian tire stores have it), make sure it's none of the lot numbers listed in this thread

I just had the same issue yesterday! Brand new Tikka T1x. 2 Rounds exploded 10 rounds apart. (I know, I was an idiot to keep going.). Lot number: C07E107. So, March 7th, 2023. Looks like March was a bad month at CCI... They completely destroyed the plastic Tikka mags and I have 10 more boxes from the same lot. I want my money back!

CCI is just like crackerjacks. A suprise in every pack!! Hopefully no one gets injured with this garbage!! I’d be seriously pissed blowing up magazines at $50 bucks or more.
