I'll have lots of action videos and pics and stuff tommorow after the EESA "bring your evil gun to work day" :D
!)

Well after you pass your ATT course!!!!

Not to mention we have to "appraise" your little toys!!

Details details!!

LOL!

See you in the AM.

Hope that there are only a few people for the ATT course so we can knock off early.

I think Jamies moniker should be 'Firearm Regs Juggernaut'. :D

This is fricken fantastic, great looking twins.
Even though they are .223 I'd sell all my guns for one of those. :)

I just wish I wasn't poor these days.:(

Do they come with a reflex sight, or did you have to buy it separate?

Nope, when I was getting all the letters from FN for the PS90 and FS2000 to send to the RCMP, I had inquired about optics on both the PS90 and FS2000.

The PS90 optic is "unpowered" (it gathers light like an ACOG or whatever), and the FS2000 just comes with iron sights.

They recomended Doctor Optic Law Enforcement version for BOTH the PS90 and FS2000 :D

I picked one up off of jackxyzddyzy here on gunnutz, WORKS DAMN SWEET. (it's a replica, full metal, etc.)

Unfortunatly, there was a massive recall on these, and they are only now shipping VERY limited quantity, they are almost impossible to come by, so I think it'll be quite a while before we see any stock arrive in Canada (not to mention that the US won't issue an export permit) :(

lol... yeah, no idea about the firing pins.

Yep, takes regular AR mags. I tried to convince the people at Canada Customs the mags were for the Rem 7615P so they didn't have to be pinned. That didn't fly ;)

The ejection port is at the front of the rifle, right above the barrel. It ejects the rounds forward. Yes, it can be fired both right and left handed unmodified because of this.

Edit for picture:

I'm confused. The magazine is way back there. How?

Does it push the shell down a good length of the gun before it comes out? Maybe several are kept in there before they start coming out?

MAN! When you flip up that little black cover in the back, there's a crazy conveyr belt in there, with little fingers to push the rounds! It looks like the gas piston action moves the little fingers which push the rounds down the tube and out the front.

It looks VERY crazy. We'll see how it works tommorow!

Yeah, the casings come out quite irregular too, obviously depending on rate of fire and kind of just casually drop out from that dust cover hatch.

I suppose there are some uses for it. Not sure what FN intended but it might be nice for infantry soldiers to not bang out hot casings to fellows to their right. Or...if used with a silencer, you somewhat eliminate the sound of the case banging about on the walls(and can fashion a casing catch net...)

FN FS2000 Semi-Automatic Carbine RecallMcLean, Va. (July 21, 2006)

– FNH USA has recently discovered that the FN FS2000 semi-automaticcarbine has a safety issue which requires the firearm to be recalled for modification. This safety issue is a result of the FN FS2000 semi-automatic carbine inadvertently being assembled with the firing pinof the FN F2000 military carbine. This military firing pin is a heavier design, used to achieve complete ignition reliability with the harder or denser primers generally used in military-specificationammunition. The use of this military firing pin has been reported to cause inadvertent slam-fires in the FN FS2000 when firing with certain types of commercial ammunition currently available in theUnited States.

Please be aware that this was an assembly and configuration issue, not a flaw in the FN FS2000 product design. The commercial firing pin was already designed and qualified for use in the FN FS2000.This recall covers only the first shipment of approximately 400 FN FS2000 semi-automatic carbines.

All current and future shipments of the FN FS2000 have the correct firing pin installed and are not subject to this recall.
