Yeah, the casings come out quite irregular too, obviously depending on rate of fire and kind of just casually drop out from that dust cover hatch.

I suppose there are some uses for it. Not sure what FN intended but it might be nice for infantry soldiers to not bang out hot casings to fellows to their right. Or...if used with a silencer, you somewhat eliminate the sound of the case banging about on the walls(and can fashion a casing catch net...)
The purpose of the forward casing ejection is to make the rifle fireable both left and right handed with out modification. The big downside to bullpups is they can only be fired left or right handed due to the ejection port being right there next to the face. FN has solved this by ejection the shells out the front.

Other than being finick as to mags, the FS2000 is quite nice. Though not a "I will never buy a AR 15" nice. If you want a bullpup .223, then this is the ticket for you. The casings in the ejection "port" is kinda feaky when you drop the mag and clear the chamber and they come pouring out. (though usually just 1) Would I own one, yes! And it would come to the range every single time I went. It is that cool. Besides, it would definately get you into the next round of prohibs if the Liberals or NDP ever get into power.

DISCLAIMER

THis is just my opinion. Dont kill me please? :D Oh and the PS90 is much nicer IMHO even if the ammo is harder to get!

Yes the sight of cases spitting out the front is sure a weird sight.

I LOVED IT!

The SPORING sound was even more pronounced than with an AR. It would take some getting used to.....but a keeper for certain.

I will try to post some pics and video tonight.

Ejecting brass just falls out, I never noticed too much force when they came out. more of a drop. Supposedly the idea is that regulars and southpaws can shoot this firearm.

I got a brass catcher for my PS90, works DAMN sweet :D

I'd imagine you could cook up one for the FS2000 without much trouble. I'd hate to know what'd happen if the rounds started to backup in the ejection tube.

if you watch the video (currently being downloaded to Sxys ftp server) you will see that some times the brass is tossed out of the front with some velocity. Not at all like a normal semi auto but there is some force that carries it out a foot for two.

Other times the cases seem to "dribble" out of the ejection channel in dribs and drabs. A single......a double.....then three at a time.

I dunno what would happen with a 40 round mag in full auto! sheesh.

Videos will be posted shortly :D

Here's a better pic of Storm with the FS2000 dropping some brass out the front :D

Just can't wait for the Non-Restricted version to come home :)
I used to think that way- until I tried the PS90 with a 10.3" barrel. I wish that it was non-restricted, not that we could get it in a non-restricted format.:mad:
