Thanks for the excellent e-mail *******. This problem will all go away if the conservatives are given a chance to form government.

BREITKREUZ'S REQUEST TO THE LIBRARY OF PARLIAMENT

Subject: Prohibited firearms may no longer be transported to a shooting range?
Importance: High
Mr. Breitkreuz needs to know how many times this proposed regulation was raised by the Minister or government officials: (1) In any of the debates in the House or the Senate; (2) In any of the (House & Senate) Committee hearings and reports; and (3) In any of the public consultations of Bill C-10A and the regulatory process.
Prohibited firearms, other than prohibited 12(6) handguns, may no longer be transported to a shooting range. They may only be transported for specific purposes, such as a change of residence, repair, export, disposal or taken to a gun show.
Mr. Breitkreuz also needs the statistics that show for each year and each province (since the government started prohibiting firearms in 1976): A. How many ATTs have been issued to owners of registered prohibited firearms; B. How many ATTs have been revoked and how many criminal charges have been laid against owners of registered prohibited transporting their firearms to shooting ranges; C. The number of and type of public safety problems have been caused by the owners of registered prohibited firearms transporting their firearms to from and at the shooting ranges.
We are already receiving complaints about this and need this information as soon as possible.
Thanks, Dennis
