What happens if the OIC IS temporarily suspended on Jan. 20th?

Maybe I'm being overly pessimistic, but even if an injunction is granted I could see the courts putting in some stupid exemption along the lines of "the affected firearms can be used, but not transferred or sold". Hope I'm wrong though.

One thing is sure, as soon they overturn the OIC and if possible i will buy 2 X AR, one DD in 223 and one DPMS in 308. Yep.

Most likely there would be an immediate stay of any such decision pending an appeal by the feds. But if it did happen, we still have our registration certificates which would then be not "nullified" and, therefore, 100% valid. We could take them to the range same day.

Yes, some people have continued shooting their newly prohib guns but some of us have to keep our noses squeaky clean or face the prospect of our family having no money for food or shelter.

Or would the fact that our registrations have already been revoked mean they need to reinstate them? That would take time...

lets say we could purchase ARs because of this. Wouldn't the transfer papers that take weeks be screwed up? Ya you could buy it but whos going to do the transfer once its banned again the next day.

I would chance it, i like these kind of rumble with incompetent peoples.
Let them crack the door opened enough so i can slip my foot.

The only way they can ban the same rifles at the same conditions after the OIC is repelled, they will have to legistlate the change the FA, otherwise the Court will turn them down again.

ArmsEast . . . . . can I just go ahead and dibs a STAG 10 in 6.5CM now just in case? I literally had one in the cart on 30 April, but decided to think it over and if I still wanted it the next day then I'd buy.

There is no provision in law for reinstating a certificate other than as an order by a judge at the conclusion of a reference hearing.

The only way the registrar can legally issue you a certificate is if you applied for it.

That said, the CFP isnt super fussy about following the law so who knows what they will do.

Yes and that happened this time too. But if they become legal to sell there will be a lot of panic selling going on and no ones AR is registered right now anyways, so just buy one of those in a private sale and dont over think it.

it would be a selling and buying frenzy. And I would take a couple of vacation days and go to the range with 1K rounds .223 and .308.

no... But the supreme Court of Canada is every bit as rigged as the supreme Court of the USA is now. ... It's a liberal stacked SC so we shouldn't expect much more than that.

Five of the 9 presently sitting Supreme Court of Canada justices were appointed by the Harper government.
