What is more fun to shoot 1911 vs glock or M&P 9?

I went to DVC Shooting range in BC last weekend with family. We shot glock, m&p and a remington 1911. Overall everyone shot the 1911 better than the other two and it was my personal favorite to shoot
+1 for the 1911

The desert eagle and 500S&W Mag were also fun

Since no one has mentioned them yet I'll just add that you should check out a CZ75 or 85 or SP-01 Shadow as well.

A lot of folks that find that the Glocks feel rather like a 2x4 and don't like the light weight and felt recoil of plastic guns find that the CZ fits like a nice glove and has the mass to really control recoil.

Glocks are like ### with your sister, yeah its ###, but doesn't the shame outweigh the benefits? Get a 1911, the ### is better AND you can brag about it to your friends.

Had two of the three you mention but have shot all three. Fun factor for me is I can shoot accurately with it from the start and feels comfortable in my hand(s).

1st - 1911 (all my friends own and shoot this model)
2nd - CZ Shadow SP-01 (currently own)
3rd - M&P (sold)
Last place - Glock (sold)

Plastic guns are great to carry and steel guns are great to shoot.

If we were allowed "standard" capacity magazines, the Glock would win. 17 or 33 rds magazines are more fun that 7/8/10 rds magazines...

But since we're stuck with neutered mags, I'll stick with the 1911. Might just as well make bigger holes with a prettier gun.

1911 > M&P > Glock

^This is close, and I prefer the 1911 myself, however get yourself an M&P Pro' version from the get go and I think you'll love that trigger. Glocks have just never felt right in my hand, but it shot okay.
