What makes a good hunter

These threads are serously P#@#ing me off We as hunters need to support one another unless someone is doing something unethical or illegal. We have enough bad publicity from anti hunters and other than to bicker and fight between our selves this crap makes me sick!!!!
A good hunter is someone who enjoys spending quality time hunting and promotes ethical fair chase!!!! To me anyone that enjoys what ever they call hunting provided it falls within the law is a good hunter. It is not how much game you take or the size because much of that has mostly to do with luck.
To me a poor hunter is one who always wants to critisize other hunters on how they hunt or what they shoot or where they hunt. We all enjoy the sport and need to give credit where credit is due and leave the negativities to the Anti's and the ignorant.

im sorry you feel that way.like i said in my other post i was not trying to talk about the difference between road hunters and non road hunters,I was trying to find out if people thought you can be a successful hunter without bring home game.

Today's seal hunt targets seals that have lost their white coats and can swim. The hunters have to rush them and smack them before they get to the water. PETA and HSUS is still using 20 year old photos and clips to support their cause.
Not that killing whitecoats was worse. It was actually BETTER for the species as a whole. But never let science get in the way of propaganda.
I was hoping to find out if its all about the kill or if its about the hunt and good times with friends and family,being in the bush or sitting on a ridge watching a valley,getting to see something the city folk never will.

They are true. What you kill. When you kill. How you kill. That is up to you and the law. The rest is just bull#### and semantics.
Gosh, you sure fooled me with that 1st post? To answer you last question, you can hunt without bringing home game and you can call your experience anything you choose to call it, or think about your expeience what you choose to think about it. Just do not tell me what I must think about my experience. eh
I know i saw that to after i read my post thats why i posted the change,i was trying to give an example but it was a bad example.

I believe this sums it up quite well. I might use a different method than the next guy, but as long as its on the "up and up", who really cares?? Its all about what kind of challenge you put to yourself, and what you get out of the hunt.
