What was your first rifle ever? Do you still own it?

My first centerfire rifle was a Remington Model 700 in .308 Win purchased used circa 1985.

Fortunately, I'm lucky to still have it.

My first rifle was a Squires Bingham semi-auto .22 lr with a 15 round mag. I forget the model. I had my money all saved up ahead of time, and I literally bought it on my 16th birthday, the first day I could legally own a firearm. I put thousands of rounds through it and sold it years later for about what I paid.

My 1st rifle is my Remington 700 BDL LH 30.06.I bought brand new in 1983 for $525.00.
And Yes I still have it but it is a back-up to my Browning micro hunter LH 7mm-08.

Browning BLR in .308. Still own it and won't ever sell it either. I wanted it and my dad said I had to pay half so i scrapped together the 200 and he gave me the rest.

Savage 110E .30-06. Emphasis on the "e". Damn thing would kick so bad , none of my friends at the time would shoot it. I let my kid brother shoot it after he dropped it to se if it was still on target and it bruised his shoulder black and blue. Took it to a gunny and he found that the chamber was bored a bit on the tight side. Traded it off on a Winchester 70 as soon as was possible.

Savage 110E in .30-06. Re-barreled with no sights this time, and I packed old shotgun lead in holes I drilled beneath the butt pad. Since I re-finished the stock she's a range rifle.

Marlin 45-70 Guide Gun, yeap still got it.

Also got gifted a Winnie 30-30 from my dad, a Canadian Centennial in mint (likely just test fired) condition. Thing was bought just before I was born and now it's mine :D :D :D

Model 94 Win 3030, post 64 edition. My grandfather purchased it in the 70's as a gift for one his employees, who eventually gave it to my uncle as he couldnt safely lower the hammer due to dexterity problems. My uncle gave it to me when I passed my hunters ed course.

Still makes its annual trip to deer camp. Shot my first deer (9 point buck) with it.

My first rifle I ever owned was a Remington Model 700 BDL, 300 win mag....I bought it for moose hunting, and sold it about a year later, because I found it to be a little heavy to carry when I did'nt have a ATV....Now that I have a ATV and carry a rifle from that, I am kind of wishing I did'nt sell it, because it was the most accurate gun I have ever owned. It really absorbed recoil nicely. It felt less sharp than a semi auto .308 of my brother n laws.

very first that I bought for myself when I was 18 was a Stevens 987 semiauto 22.

My first centerfire was a Remignton 788 in the then new 7mm-08. Wish I still had it.

My first rifle was a Ruger 10/22 whic I still own and it still shoots extremely well after 25 years!
I wanted to sell it on many occasions but keep it for its sentimental value.

The first rifle I ever bought for myself was a Win Model 70 SS in 270WSM. Sold it 3.5 years later due to high ammo cost, lack of ammo availability, and redundancy in my safe (wife got me a .308 which i liked 10x more and was much cheaper to shoot with a lot more options).
