what was your Longest kill shot

Hmm, three years ago I spotted a cow moose in the middle of a grain field at well over 700m away, there was no cover to stalk up on her so just walked normaly at her until she began to get nervous. I then flopped down prone, took a shot at 480 yards and missed high, holding for the wind I basucally put it on her nose and let another one fly and double lung shot, to make sure she didin;t go to far I put another one in her about 2 inches away from the 2nd shot (flukey, I'll admit). Done with a Browning 7mm RM Medallion shooting Hornady Facory Ammo and sporting a Leupold Vari-X3 3-10x
 
130 yards.
I was in a tent blind (with those holes to shoot out) and saw
two does walking across the field I was watching.
I had to kneel, put the rifle out the hole and get the crosshairs on the more rearward doe in pretty short order.
I hit the doe the spine and it went down.

(I hunt in Ontario farm country and long shorts are not the norm.)
 
One shot at 942 yards, Leica lasered, on a coyote while I was target shooting off the sang bags ;) Tikka T3 SS/Lam .25-06 shooting 100gr MK's at 3312fps. Burris FFII Tactical 3-9x40.

I shoot 99% of my game at between 50 and 250 yards...

735 yds. A trophy common Bleesbuk facing me. Not lazed until after (PH didnt say he had a rangefinder till after). From a rest. 300 Weatherby (Japanese version with many miles), 180 gr Ballistic Tip., 3190 ft/sec, 6.5-20 Leupold as modified by Preimier Reticles with a reticle that matches the cartridge. No wind. Nice day. First shot split it down the wishbone.

As close as we would ever get to that animal.

Still makes me smile.....
 
Moose

Bull moose, could not see horns at 2 1/2 x on the scope, cranked it up to 8x and could see horns, fired, moose ran 40 yds. and expired. .243 100gr. Nosler partition took out the bottom half of the heart. Paced the distance off at 465 yds. Couldn't believe the distance so went back with my wife next day and paced it off again, still 465 yds.
 
A crow on the fly from right to left at 200 with a .22 rimfire. A fox running right to left at 125+ with a .303 LE. A warthog running full out, quartering right at 200+ with a .375 H&H shot left handed. They weren't far per-se, but those are the shots on live targets I recall most fondly.

427 lazered yards,cow moose with a rechambered ruger #1 in 257 weatherby shooting max load of reloader 25 with a 100gr. barnes x bullet.recovered bullet was still 96grs.:D:D
 
Hi guys

mine was a coyote back in december, 287yds, stevens 200 243, 2nd longest but coolest last september coyote right between the eyes at 232yds savage 243 youth, actually got another yote tueday eve with the stevens again @ 200 at the bait pile, cheers happy st pats !
