but good luck were ever you go:wave:

No. Going up north of Barrie. My buddy has permission on a couple farms. Crap thing is the two farms he's seen the toms on. The people won't give permission. Can't blame them. We'll give it a go anyway. We have four days. A lot can change. What weekend are you guys heading up?

Dave.

Working, then this weekend is my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary Party.

Good luck Triton in the opener!

Heading out to my Uncle's place in Lanark county tomorrow morning early. Will do some scouting tomorrow, then keeping my fingers crossed for my first bird opening morning. Best of luck to everyone!

I'm in, Wed anyway. The two times I did get a turkey it was over within hours of sunrise. Hope its the same this year

I will post my turkey pic before 9:00 AM on Wednesday Morning... He is a Two year old tom and has about an eight inch beard... spurs are about one inch long... I am guessing about 19.5 pounds. I have him on video from the back deck he is strutting in front of the wack shack at first light every morning. He was chasing deer around out there yesterday... he needs killing.

Careful, according to some, thats not considered hunting. Hes not wild enough!:runaway:

Yeah I hear ya... anyone who talks like that doesn't know squat about Turkeys or Turkey Hunting. Watching a bird through a 200X video lens is a lot easier than getting within 20 yards.
I will be welded to the base of a tree well before first light... and if I make one mistake or falter in my patient vigil I will not be talking turkey.

Gobble gobble, bang! (Or Phffffttt!)

I'm out for the opener tomorrow....just not sure if I'm taking the gun or bow for the first day.

Good Luck guys and gals!!

You bet, I already have one tied to a tree waiting for me;) It just so happens that I'm off for 2 weeks, those darn turkeys better watch out.

Yep, getting out tomorrow morning with the bow, and hopefully a couple other farms on the weekend. Want to give a real effort with the bow this year, and later on in the season, if things don't go so well, will be out with the 870, for that extra reach:D .

ya im goin out tomorrow forsure, not too worried whether i get a turkey or not...I know i'll see a bunch of deer, likely a coyote or two so it will be well worth it.

I'm tryin a differnet spot this year, the owner said he hears turkeys every morning so they are around there somewhere, the ground is littered with deer tracks, might have to bring a slingshot to keep em away haha

might bring the digital cam to take some pics/movies

I can't get out untill Thursday at noon. Not the best time to start a day of hunting but better than nothing. I have most of my stuff ready to go already. Can't wait!!
