WS-MCR - first look, just arrived.

-No bolt stop release... annoying, sure I can work around it... but is this an 1950 SKS lol? I would kill for even a simple pin leaver in a cut out slot that stuck out 1/4 inch ,so you could manually engage or disengage it (even if not tactically). It would be fairly easy to do, mill a small 5/32 wide slot just behind the magwell flare, drill and tap a hole into the bolt catch leaver. Angled slightly to account for the swing radius of the leaver, thread in a #2 machine screw with a shroud (or solid pin with threaded end).. done.

.

Apparently fits mcr

If they did some redesign on the rifle anyways and the back end from the grip back is basically just solid how come they didn't do some recontouring to get rid of the square block and sharp lines and make it nicer looking and lighter by removing some of the excess metal and rounding it out ? Its the first thing I would think of doing if I were to produce these ! There is absolutely no need for the brick shape it has and contouring it more round would make it lighter and look and feel 10,000 times nicer.

I’m just posting this here hopefully to save time and spare mental sanity to anybody else who is looking for that information lol.

The pivot pin on the WS-MCR receiver is exactly the same one that’s on the AR… I’ve been hopelessly looking everywhere to find it when it was in multiple quantities in ma AR parts box the whole time.

Looking for some advice please. Which of these two firearms is more reliable, the Spectre Ltd. WS-MCR 556, or the Tavor X95 556
