Apparently the Navy SEALS are looking into trading up to the T81 rifle. It's probably a good choice for them.
Sweet I'll sell them mine for $2000
Slow down guys, in the time it took me to put together my post it's already a page back,

Sks 5 moa
Sks81 5 moa
Sks858 5 moa
And for the guys having feeding issues...

Align them rounds...[/QUOTE
Yup. 2 rounds out of over 500, the very first 500 through the gun at that. My maths isn't the bestest, but I think that is a very small "failure" rate, especially during a break in period.
Was this an issue with ammo? A feedramp needing to be worn in a bit? Me not aligning rounds properly? Me shooting after dark under artificial lighting and in sub zero temperatures? Whatever the cause it was not an issue that took more than half a second to get past.

Who knows. Sh!t happens.
I seem to be managing just fine so far, haven't "tex grubner'd" myself yet.
Very obvious that you are "projecting" with your comments lol
Depends. The only failure I've had with any of my 858s are because of garbage TulAmmo. So I feed it to the SKS.
The only failures on my SKS that I can recall have been one or two failures to eject, could have been poor chamber cleaning on my part, but other than that my SKS has not had an issue of any kind in years. I believe the stuck cases were czech surplus. Not sure if I needed a cleaning rod to push them out or not, maybe on one I did.
It was also czech surplus that I had a case head separation with in my 858. Ammo issue or dirty chamber? Combination of both? This required my cerrosafe casting the chamber to grip the remnants of the case and drive it out with a tight fitting dowel rod. As with my SKS I have not had an issue in years, dud rounds aside I have had no other notable stoppages with my shooter 858 and SKS. I expect similar results from my 81.
I own some really nice guns. Guns that I ask a lot more from then my Type 81 will ever give me.
However, in my 35 years of collecting firearms I have never known a gun to incite so much nonsense from those who claim to be disinterested then the Type 81.
It would seem that those on CGN who claim to not want a Type 81 have becomes more obsessed with them then those who actually like and own them. These Type 81 threads have proven one thing: The Type 81 is of serious interest!
I know what this rifle is and what it isn't and I am super stoked to be 1 of 1000 who own one.

If you treat it like a pig and feed it like a pig it'll perform like a pig.![]()
So $500 rifle and $500 to join the elite club of owners? Love it.

Thats what cheap rifles are for. Ride them hard and put them away wet.

You can toss them in the snow, too.

I have no reason to doubt my Type 81 will be a solid 2-3 MOA gun once i get the optic on it.
