Particularly if your rifle is a couple of thousand dollars...
$100 sales.... at $100 profit per rifle, even if it was that low... is still $10,000 clear. Simplistic? Sure. Likely higher than that? Probably.

Really? I will buy two myself (the MDR and MDR-C) plus several barrels.
My SRS is fantastic quality and if the MDR is even close it will replace everything else I shoot now.
It seems expensive at first (quality is) but it will end up being cheaper in the long run.
a 300 blk conversion would be oh just dreamy!

Yeah.... The margins on most firearms are not even close to that....
Then subtract all the overhead costs for storefront rent, employee pay, insurance, heat, hydro, security monitoring, and other associated costs.
Most dealers make peanuts on firearms.
Ammo, accessories, etc... They are the money makers.
I strongly beg to differ.
Perfect example - look at the Armalite AR10 rifles offering by Wolverines that are currently on sale.
The SASS - reg prices $3,340, sale price $2,999.
That's $340 and I have a funny feeling that Wolverines isn't loosing money on those sales.
Next example are the LTM CQP MRP 16'' CL @ Questar. Reg prices $3,699, sale price $3,099.
That's $600 off.
Ryan @ SFRC was just offering 15% off on all hanguns.
I could go on and on with deals like these.
How much does the 308 version weigh? Anyone know?
thanks.
Should be almost the same as the others, same chassis but heavier barrel and bolt.
7.5 pounds

well I'll be. I guess I'm going to have to buy one!! 7.5lbs is awesome for a 308. As long as this rifle has awesome accuracy, this rifle is mine.
It looks like the magazine release is behind the magazine - right? That would make the MDR ergonomically inferior to the Tavor, as the Tavor can release the magazine with the shooting hand.
If I remember correctly, I believe I heard that the mag release is like the AR. There is also another button near the mag well that's for the bolt release? I think it was mentioned in the SHOT SHOW videos. May have to look at the again. It looks like the magazine release is behind the magazine - right?
