25 Yard Freestyle Accuracy.....let's play a game.

Thanks, though I got my first handgun in March, been practicing a lot too.

Where have you been doing your practicing? If it was close enough I would surely love to come over and get some pointers from you.
I have shot some of that PMC ammo as well. Didn't group as well as yours, even out of a ransom rest.
You are shooting while standing, unsupported at 25 yds right?

Glad I was able to get out to the range today to give this a shot. Definitely something I don't do enough and I think I'll be making it a part of my range sessions from now on :)

93 - 3 X

CZ75B Omega
Fibre optic front and serrated black rear
CAMRPO 124gr over 4.0gr Titegroup @ 1.115" COL

The high shot in the 8 ring was my first shot and the one just below it was my 9th shot. To be honest I surprised myself, I thought I would do far worse! Always room for improvement and I learned a lot all from firing 10 rounds. Thanks Clobbersaurus for posting this challenge; I'll post again as I improve :)

Good shooting Henry!

I got out again today and ended up just frustrating myself. It was very windy today, which contributed to the suckage, but mostly it was just me shooting like a jackass. This was the best target I could manage. 93-2X (just by the skin of my teeth). 1st shot DA, 115g Barnaul ammo.

To whom this belongs to.

Great shooting. That's better than I have ever done with an auto!

I attempted a second shoot and was so disappointed with myself that I didn't keep the targets.

We all have our good days and bad days.

Give it another try.

Ha ha, thanks! There were a few other targets that I didn't bother to score, probably somewhere in the mid 80's or so. I don't really count anything under 90 as being acceptable for my skill level (such as it is), so they were hard pills to swallow today.

This may have been stated but, I wasn't able to find it when I looked again;

Is there a time limit on this ?
Fast as we can or, slower well-aimed shots ?

Thx. guys

Clobbersaurus can correct me if I'm wrong but I think it is no time limit within reason. The idea is to put them all in the black before you fall asleep and fall down.
Standing at 25 yds, shooting at the B8 target, with no support. Looking at some of the posted groups, maybe some people had their guns locked in a vise, but whatever.
It's all just fun and you are only kidding yourself if you shoot it at 7 yds.

No it's not.
Simply the joyful expression of happy shooters, shooting at bullseye targets in a non-competitive way.
And comparing notes for the sheer fun of it, with other like-minded shooters.:)

And there's nothing wrong with that Eh!;)

It has me focusing on trying to improve my skills and for my .22 with adjustable sights, I'm going to try setting it up for a 6 o'clock hold and see if that makes my shooting more consistent.

Okay. I have adjusted my original post put wicked_police back as the high score with 99-3x.

I was hoping this wouldn't happen.

elmopuddy: I've read your post history and I have to say that your experience with shooting pistols does not give me confidence that your targets are true 25 yard unsupported scores. I want to give you a chance to show some further evidence that you can shoot as well as you suggest, but I have to say, you are posting better scores than some very dedicated shooters with years of experience. I've seen natural talent with shooters before, but never with pistols at 25 yards. I should have questioned your targets before I changed the high score. Being polite was my mistake. I don't want to ruin the legitimacy of this thread and the enthusiasm of those who are legitimately posting their best work.

I hope you can prove your case, if so, I will apologize and it will be all good.

Oh, no...thread bummer. You have to take a man at his word or prove him a liar. I don't see the onus of proof being spread equally here, no offence to wicked police, but by his own admission he said he shot that 3 years ago!? Wanna see the best targets I ever shot!? I'm disappointed.

Hey Clobber,

All I can say is that I managed that group once, at 25 yards, unsupported. I said once. I have tried to replicate that group, and I cannot, that does show my lack of experience... I never claimed to be an expert though.

If you feel like you have to remove my score, that's fine, its your thread, and I'm not going to start a huge flame war over it. I have nothing to gain either way. I thought it would be fun to try, and I got lucky.

It wasn't just the one group! All three groups are not real for a shooter with your experience. You did not shoot all three of those groups unsupported at 25 yds. There, you happy now.
And don't feel like the the lone ranger here because your provincial cohort Caramel did not shoot his groups at 25 yards either and I think there is more than a few others.
