Norinco NS522 build: NEW MAG RELEASE

Well I picked up a pretty new NS522, and have taken it apart , cleaned and worked on the trigger.
I cannot get the pull less than 2lb. Even without a spring in the trigger assembly, it's still approx 2lb.
It seems to me that the firing pin spring is super strong causing the bolt to be very stiff going into battery and also exerting too much
pressure on the sear to get a lighter trigger. Is there a replacement firing pin spring anywhere out there?
I havent read ALL the posts so forgive me if this has been addressed before.
Thanks.

I will forgive you, but your answer is covered by myself with a very in-depth and detailed series of posts and pictures. If you want to solve (or at the very least improve) your problem, you need to read it all.

Good luck.

A friend of mine is heavy into gravel-grinding, which is the newest fad in American cycling. He has the Revolt and loves it. He just recently completed a 500 mile, week long ride, with appox. 80% of that on gravel/dirt roads and the rest on paved roads. He has a second pair of wheels with 700 x 28c tires mounted for the occasional road-only type ride, though he admits he likes road riding less and less these days. It seems like a great bike. That Anyroad model looks interesting as well.

Im hearing that everywhere.

I dont mtb at all, just not my thing, but these bikes need to be seen to be appreciated. They fill a void for sure.

Of all the write ups that I have seen out there, Father has the most descriptive and worthy modifications to follow.
I think that I have done most of the mods that Father has put out here. I have had a lot of fun following this and I look at it as a work in progress. These rifles are very accurate when the ruff kinks are taken out.
I do not know at what “lbs” my trigger is but it is a lot better after smoothing out the surfaces that are working together.
I have even gotten to the point that I purchased a second NS522 as a backup parts supply when needed.
I do not know if there any NIB left.
This is a great rifle that will put a smile on your face.

There might be still a few NIB ones left hiding in the back of someone's gun safe , I but one last month that was NIB , put an add on the EE and got a PM that a fellow CGNer had an extra one that was NIB and was willing to part with it , so you never know ..........

Minni your 2 Beautiful rifles , are they the American versions , the stock are stunning compared with the Canadian version I have seen .

Don't get me wrong I really like the stock on my rifle , yes the wood is a bit soft , looks like the same wood used to make the M305's wood stocks of years gone by .
