Updated, thx

Which are there more of the 308 target conversions or the 303 conversions? My 303 target is British.

I've personally seen more 7.62mm in the target conversions than the .303

Just wondering, My 1944 BSA Shirley M47C Lee Enfield No4 Mk1 T has a William Watson No32 Mk1 sniper scope 1942 No 1960 OS466A , the mount is un numbered except

for ring # A76 and A77 The gun is 7.62 the scope is in the steel green box

What does OS466A mean?

The bolt and magazine are all numbered to the gun. Wood is H&H

just found the complete bolt for 1368 in a collection of parts I just bought. Willing to trade for a regular Long Branch No 4 Mk 1 complete bolt if anyone wants it

[Saabu]

just found the DCRA conversion tag for rifle serial number 81L323 shipped to the Alberta Provincial Rifle Association c/o Col. Steve Johnson. Is that a valid serial number format?
very faint light blue ball point pen.

[superbee]

On the tag, would 63 be the year and 238 the conversion number??

I believe that was the format. I have a rifle conversion tag hanging here that has 63-1320 on it. The conversion number of the action it was on was 1320.

[Saabu]

ok well the owner of 238 might want to contact me !

With thanks to a member here, this 1942 10L series dated Long Branch with PH5C has found a new home.

Connaught range 1958, shooting at 1000yds with irons. Those were the days.

[Bob]

Just picked up a Longbranch in 308 from a long time member of the MPRA. It is not DCRA but he did buy it from Longbranch as surplus just after he got married, he is in his early eighties now. He has the bill for $35.00 somewhere but could not find it by the time I arrived. Plus he included the PH 5c sight with the adjustable aperture. Now I'm feeling the Christmas spirit.

Just some pics.
