NDS-18S (AR-180b) Lower Receiver

This NDS-18S lower is a direct replacement for the AR-180, so it'll have the same treatment from the RCMP. Just a different FRT.

FYI, Just noticed that NEA's facebook page from end of August mentioned a .308 coming soon.

Its actually a replacement for the ar180b, which also takes ar180 uppers.

Mind blowing, I know.

As for NEA's NEA-25, it has an frt already. Just needs to hit the market.

Here is my first attempt at seeing if NDS is willing to play ball.

"Hello,
I am interested in importing some of your products to Canada, using IRUNGUNS.com as a broker. We have a very strong collector market up here, although small, but retro parts are very hard to come by. I would like to know if i could purchase some items, using IRUNGUNS and their broker service to import them to Canada. This process is very easy, I have done it several times, and what happens is that I purchase the items from you and have you deliver them to IRUNGUNS and they facilitate the export to Canada. IRUNGUNS is fully licensed and is a FFL dealer and imports to Canada is their specialty.
Let me know if this is something that we can do."

And they're response...

"Sorry, but we do not have U.S. State Dept approval to have our products exported to Canada.
Thanks for your interest.

Is there something I'm missing???
It is illegal for anyone to export firearms or parts manufactured by a company which is not registered for export with the state department. It's not inexpensive so a number of manufacturing companies don't bother.

Note that by law the manufacturer (in addition to the actual exporter) must be registered before the product can be exported.

The fines for violation can be large, one of the night vision companies paid fines in excess of $100 million dollars for improperly exporting controlled items....seems to decrease the enthusiasm to "help a Canadian out"...

The fines are published on us gov't websites, I'm sure you can find some firearms company examples.

The Information in this Thread is old news with new hope Aluminum lowers have been talked about over and over I contacted NDS about 8 months ago and offered to pay for the two receivers required for inspection by Canadian Authorities for approval if they would just do the paper work. Got a BIG "NO" so been surfing for any detail drawings for the AR180B lower. I have had a AR180B lower Scanned and a AR15 lower scan and a drawing made of the two put together to form a Hybrid of sorts. once I have all the measurement applied I will have a polymer proto type made and tested and if no changes are needed I will have a aluminum lower made and sent off to be approved. but this will take me sometime to do this. told the Canadian approval alone is a year plus!

and No I am not a Manufacture or retail just a guy with a broken gun that wants it fixed. and yes I used the hinge repair but it didn't sit exactly correct and the rifle now has feed issues and its kind of a one shot deal with the glue and the new holes, in hind sight a jig to position the hinge in the exact position would of been a great accessories..

These are my posts from the sticky:

I would like to let you all know that we are now registered with State.

I have spoke with the guys at I Run Guns, and they said they can handle the transfers.

So if there are any NDS-18S questions I can answer let me know.

Mike

Mike congratulations!

We appreciate this.

Now please tell us that the NDS lower will not be a limited run.

The first batch of 100 is down to less than 15 left.

However, we currently have another batch of 100 on the CNC right now. We can make them whenever we need to, all I have to do is order some billet.

These are a lot easier for me to process than the retro forgings because they don't have to be polished to get the anodizing to turn out right.
