NDS-18S (AR-180b) Lower Receiver

So these lowers ate like under $300 us$, accept ar style mags and will hold non rest classification in Canada. I'm surprised nobody has found a source or stated making the uppers, this seems like the holy grail for us black gun lovers and at a "reasonable" price. I'm sure a batch of 1000 uppers wouldn't last very long on someones shelf if they were sourced.

These are my posts from the sticky:

I would like to let you all know that we are now registered with State.

I have spoke with the guys at I Run Guns, and they said they can handle the transfers.

So if there are any NDS-18S questions I can answer let me know.

Mike

The first batch of 100 is down to less than 15 left.

However, we currently have another batch of 100 on the CNC right now. We can make them whenever we need to, all I have to do is order some billet.

These are a lot easier for me to process than the retro forgings because they don't have to be polished to get the anodizing to turn out right.

This is fantastic! We must work on getting some of NDS lowers and uppers up here as well!

Gun lab made some uppers last year.

NEA was working on a AR180 project a few years back. Shut it down after worrying about the RCMP reclassifying the rifle to restricted. So I have heard.

If they fired up their assembbly lines and made some uppers and we import the lowers, that could be pretty sweet.

The reciever is mostly AR parts? Are there any parts for the lower that are specific for the AR180 that can't be easily found?

Fixed it for you. And don't think they won't. Those SOBs have free reign now.

Well with the X95 and ACP just classified as NR this week I wonder wtf the RCMP is up to.

Are they waiting for us to drop tons of cash before they screw us .

Looking at the NDS website, I note that the NDS-18S lower will also fit original 180 uppers as made in Costa Mesa, and by Howa and Sterling. The original AR-180 rifles are prohibited. Would this not make the NDS-18S an AR-180 receiver and therefore prohibited?

It shouldn't, the original uppers will work on the polymer lowers as well. There was one for sale on the EE a while back which I would have bought if my numbers for Lotto Max would have come through.

That would be good. Folks with a registered - prohibited - AR-180 could buy a new lower, and swap over the parts. Just as someone with a 12-3 M-14 can transfer all the parts onto a M305 receiver.
Or, a prohibited AR-180 could be purchased, the receiver scrapped, and a n-r rifle assembled.
