New daily driver from Shot Show

thats what the will drive when they come to get your guns

Truth.^^^^^^^^

The obviousness of this is lost on so many.

But comfortable slavery is more palatable than an inconvenient truth.

Why is that considered a radical statement? Look around you. You live in a giant open air tax prison.

If I'm wrong, stop paying the state its extortion money (federal, provincial, local - it doesn't matter) and see if they show up with guns and an APC at your house.

The government is not going to help you, does not care about you and will only act in its own interests for its own preservation. No matter political affiliation. Period.

I agree with this comment mostly. I find it the design of this vehicle to be deliberately intimidating, which does look cool, but it also contributes to a negative image and militarism of the police. Lets also consider that these vehicles are often used against the unarmed general (and uspet) population. Do I want to burn around in one of these? Yes. But I do not believe that Municipal police forces should own them.

Victoria PD just got one, and I bet the only time it will see the light of day is when there are protesters at the Legislature building.

Lan.

I can't believe some of you here actually own guns. You really can't imagine, in this day and age a, if not several, scenarios in which the police ERT/SWAT would need vehicles like this?

"The police don't need this! But I should be allowed to concealed carry for self defense!"

Some people make no god damn sense...

Stop paying taxes, and people with guns are going to show up? Seriously? Are you that out of touch?

As for complaining about taxes, I can only assume you don't use the Healthcare system ever, you never drive on public roads, and you don't buy dairy or bread from the grocery store?...

Your simultaneous distrust of your fellow man but absolute trust in civil authority figures is the only thing that makes no sense.

It is a childish world view incongruent with our current predicament. In fact it is the cause of said societal conflict.

How in the world can you be a gun owner?

Yes. Seriously. Are you unaware of the Law?

You can be sentenced to more time for tax evasion or non compliance with property tax statutes than many other "crimes".

How do you think said criminals are picked up for sentencing? With a fairy wand?

Armed men come and arrest you if you try to opt out of paying for the states largesse.

Talk about out of touch with reality.

I and many others have no problem with taxation for those causes. If only Government stuck to utility regulation and road building....

Nice try moving the goalposts though.

You’re really trying too hard. When I read your posts it reminds me of those African fraud emails where English isn’t a first language yet they try to come off as educated. Your posts have the same lack of credibility. At first it was funny but now it’s just irritating.

Yet another one being added to my ignore list.

Assault vehicle or rescue vehicle? It's all in the perspective. If you are an innocent person that's been shot and are lying in the open terrain with an active shooter still whizzing rounds by you, that vehicle may be perceived as a rescue vehicle. If you are that shooter, definitely, that's an assault vehicle. A vehicle is just a tool. Just like a gun. We gun enthusiast keep saying that guns don't kill, people do. Yet when it comes to police equipment, we seem to have no problems saying it's for assault purposes. It's just vehicle. How it's used is the key. .... ;)

I understand you aren't equipped for a true rebuttal but this tired meme is just... tired.

How about trying to address some hate facts directly?
It never gets tired. tinfoilhat-1.jpg

So let's talk Moncton. Two hundred police who most had hard body Armour in the rinks of their cars were terrified of one man with a rifle...one man. How afraid were they? One RCMP office was caught on video trying to rip his uniform off while not under fire. Twice the shooter crossed between homes in front of the police but the police would not fire at him in fear he would engage them. It got so bad that a company was stood up at the RCR in gagetown and the counter IED squadron at 4 ESR was asked to deploy with the counter IED robots due to the fear of one man with a rifle. So do the police need an armored vehicle? No, they need better training and to hire the right guys/gals. Fear is a powerful emotion and by the looks of it, it seems to run rampant in most police forces. The videos I speak of can be found on LiveLeak com.
The RCMP recently talked about gun crime and mental health. The article was about stopping mentally ill people from killing themselves with guns. According to the RCMP 80 % of all gun deaths are suicides and in 2014( most recent stat) 262 people killed themselves with guns....so with my mental math that makes 52 people killed by guns in Canada according to the RCMP. So please explain the need for officer safety when is actually extremely little gun crime in Canada? 36 million people with an estimated 21 million guns....you have a greater risk choking on a hotdog. I'm not against officer safety but I don't want to see my tax dollars pissed away either.

Well said angrysoldier/no AKS, the RCMP needing these vehicles is just silly. If ever truly necessary they could use the army, where these vehicles belong.

Officer safety is greatly over exaggerated, mainly by former RCMP members who want others to see them as Rambo type hero's facing danger everyday, what a joke. Reality is, the most they have to worry about is getting a paper cut on all the paperwork they have to do when they catch average citizens for paper crimes.

I have a question... Should Taxi drivers get these government funded for them? Afterall they face a similar amount of danger.

There are tons of jobs in Canada that need better safety funding. However, many of those jobs involve true men who don't need to be pampered and egos stroked.

These belong in the army with true hero's that face danger and don't run away from it and make excuses after.
