Sks rifles from recent sale

It's a shame to think many owners bubba'd the real nice Russians imported from the Ukraine 5 years ago. There were a bunch of brand new '53 '54, '55 and letter dated rifles in that batch!

(Yes, there is such a thing as a non-refurbished Russian SKS)

At the time there were probably boat loads of them most thought oh well get another

Canada Ammo is the best for returns or warranty work..
They just e-mail you a shipping label.. bundle it up and off it goes

Never had one problem with Canada Ammo

Yup I agree.. How any business can send out that junk.. And not return all the BBq paint and junk ones to the distributor is beyond me???

They probably bought them as a lot price with no returns

Most of the recent batch are built with leftover parts IMHO. Still functional but spare parts.

Agree 100%. Wouldnt be concerned as long as stock can be refinished and gun action functions as it should.

I received mine. It’s painted but looks solid and should function fine. Wish it was blued but besides that it isn’t too bad.

People thought they would last for ever and weren't worried about getting one. I held off until I saw two nice 52 and 53 Russians. Bought them. The stuff I am seeing for sale now is the same price I paid for mine but look terrible. Things can't last forever.

Received mine: 1951 Tula parkerized. Matching #s except the stock and mag. Looks to be in overall not bad shape. For $209 I'm satisfied.

Good choice, if you are looking to invest in sks to make money like mutual funds you want collector grade, and then it is a crap shoot, I think the prices will rise on descent ones a bit, but who knows!

I've blued them, but it's a lot of work.
Wire brush and methyl hydrate to get it down to the grey acid anodized finish. Then 600 grit to get some bite before repeated cold blues and steel wool until the anodizing gets replaced by the bluing.

No one has a problem with a price to match quality.. But flogging this junk as $299 guns is fuddging the truth..
Westrifle looked at this batch 4 yrs. ago..and passed because of poor quality
