Ouch, did that session ever beat the snot out of your firing pin and bolt roller! As for the reliability issues, that could be a function of the surplus ammo as well as something evidently out of spec with your "rifle". I had a CA MG34 with accessories back in the day for sh#ts and giggles. The ego gratification aside, I found that it was a huge pain in the arse to gather everything up, schlep it all to the range, set it up, fire a few hundred rounds full of stoppages, pack it all back up, then have to immediately detail strip and clean it back at home due to corrosive surplus 7.92mm ammo. I soon sold it with full disclosure to a fellow collector. Those CAs were priced under $1K back when anyone with a FAC could own one. The price is much steeper for these NR closed-bolt versions, so hopefully you will continue to enjoy it just as much as you did the first time out! Smart move buying through Wolverine Supplies, as John Hipwell will definitely make it right. Best of luck in troubleshooting and resolving the issue(s)!
