I pulled the Triggertech Primary out of my .223 (also a Rem 700) to replace it with a Special. I ended up moving the Primary into this little gem, a Rem 700 SPS Youth model in .243.
I also took advantage of a July 4th sale at Red Hawk Rifles, picking up a Grayboe Outlander stock for $280 USD and finally got it installed. Not bedded yet, I'll see how it shoots first before I start dinking around with permanent alterations.

I'm a fan, very light and rigid! This is the stock that shipped on the Alaskan Wilderness Rifle from the factory, just in a different color.
Just got it back from the smith , have not shot it yet. factory DM - 30-06 - 16.5" KS Arms brl. I know the rail has to go but only base I had.

Picked up a new production Remington 700 BDL in 7mm Rem Mag. Very pleased with it so far. I like that the new versions have the Timney trigger and 1:8 twist. The new ball detent extractor attachment method is a nice touch.

Mine is 28oz as I received it. Not much else in the same price/weight range. Not many stocks in the 20-22 range either. My Edge fill McSporter is 26oz. at 2.5x the cost by the time I got it.
