Usually the only caliber restrictions are what ever your shoulder can handle. I used to use an 06 with hot loaded 110gr Sierra HP's, and my bud had a 270 with Hornady 100's, what fun!! Instant red mist! Although after 20 - 30 rounds prone on the ground, one would get a little stiff. Which is why I ordered one of these 97's.

:evil::50cal:

Thanks, I'm moving to Edmonton in May and was just wondering about caliber restrictions, because here in NB, you're limited to .223 or smaller for varmint season.

It's coming up threee weeks in a few days how about an update CANAM? Norinco M4's are in very soon at Armseast BTW :)

They are considered pests here. No licence, no season. Shoot on sight if you have permission from the land owner. Caliber is up to you. One field I shoot at, the farmer only allows .22lr.

On another field use .22, .223 and 12ga. Sometimes I use 308.

I'm in Edmonton, pm me when you get here, I'll see if I can take you for a gopher slaughter.

Dealing with anything linked to the feds is an experience in futility and frustration. Been there, done that, closest thing to describing the event is like cutting through the worlds largest onion. Just when you think you're on top of things, another layer! Arrgh!!!

Hang in there guys, we've waited this long, a few more days won't kill us.

I was in leverarms a few weeks ago asking them about there non restricted type 97 and by the looks of it, there non restricted version is going to be cheaper than there restricted version. I can't remember the price they quoted me but was was definitely cheaper than the restricted version.

It will have to be cheaper as in $300 to $350 cheaper or they won't sell.

One of MANY reasons Lever Arms will not see my $$$ EVER again.

I cant believe how much Lever's has changed.It used to be a cool place to go and hang out and buy a few guns, or shoot the breeze with Alan, the new owner is out of touch with Lever's clients!!

I wouldnt buy squat off them

Old Alan was miserable old bastard and the current owner is a money grubbing #### where customer service comes last and where EVERYTHING is over priced.....but we are getting off topic here.

Do you think a bushnell holosite on a T97 would sit too high?
