1022 Tommy Gun Kit

hey MrAR15, if i buy one your tommy gun kits, will i be able to fit a promag 50 round drum on it?

At the moment, No. The long stick mags require support from the trigger group or they would easily break off. That exactly how the real Thompson worked as well. It was a trade off but I'm still looking at a way to accommodate both, but at this point no. Banana mags of course work fine.

As far as when it will be available I'm expecting mid summer.

Any idea on the price range or is it too soon ?

Yes, it's too soon for pricing. We are still looking into a supplier for the wood components and that is a big chunk of change relative to the rest of the kit. I can say with a degree of certainty that it will be more the Thompson kit thats offered in the States but definitely less than the price of a small car.:p

Thats all I can say at the moment.

For the Fun Gun Kits, all I can say is I am still working on getting Export Approval.
Early assessments seem to indicate that the Kits will be "sporting goods", not "military equipment" as hoped. There is a separate process for classification / approval of new products that I have found through the Gov't contacts and started now. I will advise everyone regarding the results when received.

If classified as sporting goods, export approval should be received in 65 days maximum, and then exports can be done hassle free, no huge up front fees, no border headaches.

If classified as military equipment, likely bad news. Application Fees have been increased again, more / tighter restrictions started in October 2008, these new restrictions are not out on the internet for review yet. The Gov't people I talked to said the new regs would make it almost impossible to get export approval if the Kits are considered military equipment. These new tighter restrictions apply to imports to the USA, too.

Rude and crude, prototype Charger Kit, ETA 60 days. : ))
