Yeah, except for HELL of a lot louder...
Compared to a shorty 5.56 though, it's a kitten.

Exactly just that, very tame...although I suspect the Spex plays a HUGE role in that!!

Clearly they'd been doing a little too much shooting without ear pro... lol!-M

Yup...and their gene pool could probably use a bit more chlorine as well...!!

I shoot my .300 FB more than I shoot my 5.56 now... SO fun!
Glad you are having fun cause out of all the Fireballs we have done so far, mine is the only one giving troubles.![]()

Aren't you using the prototype, though?

Double-you-tee-eff?
Man that's weird... did you take some mass off the BC? Is there some debris in the gas tube?
That sucks...

Yes, it is infinitely annoying. The problem seems to be the muzzle device is blowing powder residue back into the chamber causing the next round to stick short chambered. The hammer then hits the back of the carrier without hitting the firing pin so you end up with the hammer down and an unfired round stuck in the chamber. I have had to pound the gun open several times now.
To see if this theory is correct, I am planning to try it with a conventional brake next time.
The 300 is definitely a head turner...gave it to a couple of guys to try it out...
...to say they were blown away by it is a gross understatement!

I let Mr Spartan try mine on the weekend and today at work he was contemplating a Whisper of his own.![]()
He checked out the chamber and said it was smooth (not that we doubted, but one has to go through a process of elimination)... Hmm.
Yeah, I'm thinking a 6mm Whisper myself though, got to be different

nice! Waiting for mine!!!
