I ordered the stock from Richards microfit just before some boy scout reported them, I did the finishing myself in a European design the rifle came from Tradex.

just an update for the brass side.

just spoke with Don Heath and there is a news good or not but for a change on a stamp there is a fee of $8000 usd before getting any brass even if there are at the end of a 9.3x62 run ... then the cost ofr brass. at least we finally get an answer.

which company was this ?

I wonder if brass without a stamp could be ordered , then a stamp made with a pilot that runs through the flash hole that a guy could "tap" with a hammer ?

again , just a thought , if someone had access to a cnc milling machine , could it not be programmed to make stamps out of steel that could be hardened later on ......

I have been seeing many 9.3x62's lately, in my travels to find 6.5mm Swedes.... I must say I'm growing more curious as time goes by... could always use another moose gun here in central Saskatchewan.....

9.3x62 seems like ideal bear, moose, bison medicine to me. That 286 grain slug must hit hard. I have been considering one in CZ550. Seems like an appropriate pairing of rifle and caliber.

I have always thought of the 9.3x62 vs 35 Whelan discussion as being the equivalent of a 30.06 vs 308 discussion, Both excellent cartridges just a little different.

There's nothing I wouldn't clobber in Canada with mine, especially so when loaded with 250 grn Ttsx

And, I have a few pictures to show you, as well. :) Both the 286 and the 270gr bullets do very well in the 9.3X62.

Don Heath will testify that the 9.3X62 with the solid bullet can save your skin from an unexpected elephant charge.

Ted
